About this deal

It just felt like the author threw way too many impossible challenges at Gabriel and Julia almost at the same time, and then he may have realized this and tried to resolve some of them without giving a real explanation. Especially, considering that some parts of the storyline were not even resolved by the end of this book. Needless to say, this book is a must-read more than 5 stars and a series you need to have on your shelf.

Seeing Gabriel and Julia as parents is a real joy, and along with the reality of dealing with a new infant, we see their shift in priorities, and their growth together. Gabriel has vowed to be a good father when he suddenly receives an invitation to give a series of lectures in Edinburgh, Scotland--an opportunity of high prestige—but that would mean leaving his wife and child in Boston. Gabriel’s Rapture,” has just finished filming in Italy and the production will be moving to the USA shortly.Would love to see Gabriel’s promise in a movie and also another installment after Gabriel’s promise. From both Julianne and Gabriel’s exes, to the jealousy of colleagues and former friends, threats to Gabriel, Julianne and their daughter Clare force Gabriel to take drastic measures to protect the woman and child he loves. There was a bit of drama was was unnecessary IMO and some things left unresolved, which makes me think there might be a fifth book in this series. I am in love with the writing, with the story and the characters, the way the plot is created and the way the reader is involved in the action.

Overall the writing as always was stellar, and I even found some of the Dante and Beatrice references interesting. Aside from the love story, there are a number of obstacles the two face in this book regarding their careers, as well as some more risky threats. Sylvain was building the set up for the plot, inserting a mysterious element that was very interesting to watch, everything was progressing and happening and suddenly, when I pressed next, it was over. Sinceramente este libro solo me deja la sensación de que tendremos más libros 😤 y a mi en particular la idea de más no es que me ponga a saltar en un pie de contenta. The first three books also ignited my curiosity and I did pick up Inferno by Dante (2X) after reading the first book in the series.
