There are so many faults that can affect the compression test results, and so many types of HGF that won't affect it, that I don't think a compression test is a very reliable way to detect HGF. The blue fluid is not suitable for DIESEL engines as it changes colour to GREEN, making it more confusing with the interpretation of the test result.Any other precautions I should take with this test besides the well-known one - don't take off the radiator cap if the engine is already hot?
