Renowned archaeologist and expert in occult, Indiana Jones is hired by the American government to track down the fabled Ark of the Covenant. It all seems like a lot of extra features, but other than the opening two part featurette on Raiders, none of this is new material, it’s either taken from the VHS release, the first two trilogy DVD releases, or the Kingdom of Crystal Skull individual release, and there are things left out, particularly from the Crystal Skull. With only four episodes left of the second season to air, ABC eventually sold the show to the Family Channel, who changed the format from 50-minute episodes to 90-minute TV movies.

The editing combined episodes together into creating roughly an hour and a half movies to streamline the series into a more consistent structure.I won’t discuss the films themselves here; I plan to review each one for A Certain Point of View, Too in the future, but I will say this: as much as I like the existing quartet, including the much maligned Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Raiders of the Lost Ark is my favorite film.

German, with subtitles in these languages, as well as Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Norwegian, and Swedish. Cate Blanchett is no Roshan Seth, and certainly no Nazi, and once Karen Allen shows up again as Marion, all sense of suspense and peril leaves the film. Once again, all the important elements are in perfect balance; the action sounds fantastic, gunshots, explosions, bullwhips and fistfights, John Williams’ memorable score is always evident, and the dialogue is clear throughout. In 2012, The Walt Disney Company acquired Lucasfilm, the series' production company, thereby becoming the owner of the Indiana Jones intellectual property.Once again, the film is presented with an animated menu screen, but the only extras on this disc are the Teaser and Theatrical Trailers, both in HD. Novelizations of the films have been published, as well as many novels with original adventures, including a series of German novels by Wolfgang Hohlbein, twelve novels set before the films published by Bantam Books, and a series set during the character's childhood inspired by the television show. Season one was shot from March 1991 to March 1992; the second season began two months later and wrapped in April 1993. For one Indian fakir, it was certainly fate that they managed to escape the plane crash, and find their way to his village. On top of that, Mutt’s mother went looking for Oxley and has disappeared too, and she was the one who told Mutt to go to Indy if he ever needed help. The only reason this is a 4 star review is the inclusion of the tedious cash grab that Kingdom turned out to be.Spielberg and Lucas discussed the central idea of a B-movie involving aliens, and Lucas suggested using crystal skulls to ground the idea.
