First off, I won't say a thing about A*Men Pure Havane similarities given that despite it is on my wishlist, I miserably never had a chance to test it yet. As soon as I put it on it immediately reminded me of Burberry London (which I reach for a lot every December).

Having said that, Insurrection II Wild by Reyane Tradition cologne, according to what I feel and smell, fits well under Oriental-Gourmand group. The herbal and green tobacco note together with the earthy and bitterness of patchouli make it more masculine. While you could get other tobacco/vanilla type fragrances, many of them are quite a bit more expensive than this. After finding out that PH was discontinued, I came here looking for similar notes from another cologne.Has been compared to Naxos Xerjoff, but this is more masculine and heavy, while Naxos is lighter with citrus (and niche quality. After a while a green, sharp tobacco note appeared, but not as offensive as a cigarette on the street, rather soft, with the pride and elegance typical of the finest Cuban cigars. Initial sprays are a touch more synthetic than Havane, but very rapidly that gorgeous cherry aroma wafts into place, and here with Insurrection II Wild, you can still smell that addictive aroma all day long, whereas with Havane reformulations it goes on a wander within an hour on my skin. It's more like Burberry London for Men but less sharp, softer, sweeter, cosier, to me it comes across more refined, smoother, gentler.

Received this today, thanks to 'belle de sud' who made it possible for me to get this in the first place! In the drydown, I personally can no longer detect any significant change and the scent remains consistently tobacco cherry-sweet.

The sillage of the fragrance is quite strong especially in the opening and is able to fill a room well. I attributed this effect to the herbal and green tobacco note along with the earthy and bitter patchouli note. Definitely an inoffensive scent, great for pretty much any time or weather other than scorching heat.The opening smells like anise seed and I’m not a big fan of that black liquorice smell, and the dry down just smells like a cheap spicebomb clone. I think it's closest to Voux Elegante but just a little more spicy while Voux Elegante has a little more clear honey and lavender. Once they were aged to his liking, he'd take them down, twist them, and he'd have small pieces he'd keep on himself for his chew. I'm wearing it for the first time today to work, so I'll try to remember to update this review later once I get a full day's wear out of it, so I know what the full performance is like.
