About this deal

Dickerson explains what influenced the film and how and why the original ending (which is shown) had to be changed. But shining even brighter than him is Shakur, who makes a substantial impact as a raw and natural presence.

This film is one of the classics starring the great Tupac Shakur in his first starring role and doesn't fail to impress with the quality as an actor and with the supporting roles of Omar Epps.

Dickerson's Juice (1992), starring Omar Epps, Tupac Shakur, Jermaine Hopkins, Khalil Kain, and Cindy Herron. Black levels are excellent as well, although it sometimes looks a bit murky in the shadow department. Let's get the rough patches out of the way first because most of the transfer is genuinely excellent. Juice features a hip and happening soundtrack from the golden era of Hip-Hop, but it's not particularly dazzling here. Juice may be 25 years old, but the way you can tell that is from the fashions and slang and music, not in the way the film looks in Paramount's first-rate 1.

Color Reproduction: Thanks to a showy number of characters and the interiors of certain scenes, there’s a good amount of color found throughout this film that pops. My all time favorite story rap goes to Boogie Down Productions- Loves Gonna Getcha and that song bumps! All extras and audio remain the same for this disc, the sole difference is its 4K transfer now can be seen in its proper presentation. Again, this isn’t the worst issue and it’s barely noticeable unless you’re really looking for it, nonetheless, it’s an issue to kick this otherwise perfect transfer for.And not just in club moments, some of your average dialogue sequences seem to prefer the presence of the music rather than the conversation of the character.

GRAAG BIJ DE DVD'S EN BLU-RAY'S DE REGIO'S VERMELDEN IS VOOR DE KLANT MAKKELIJKER EN VERMELD DAN OOK WELKE SUBTITELS ER OP STAAN. Looking back at the early 90’s, it was littered with “urban” dramas that featured predominately black casts. Released on January 11, this new release carries over everything from the 25th anniversary and displays the film’s 4K transfer proper. While not as highly acclaimed, Juice joined films such as Boyz N the Hood and later on Menace II Society and also provided an early look at how charismatic and compelling Tupac Shakur was on the silver screen. Juice holds up as something of a star-making performance for Tupac Shakur, a compelling portrait of urban youth, and an appealing showcase of '90s hip hop.Underneath all of the 90s hip hop lingo, and bad 90s hairdos and cheesy gang signs, it’s a bleak tale of what happens when you lose all hope, as well as a harsh condemnation of the alluring nature of power on the street. Dialogue Reproduction: Vocals are mostly clear, but tend to drown into a quieter more muffled state when the music seems to be taken over.
