This limits the speed of each blade to about 950 MB/s and limits the total number of SSD blades to four (one for each PCIe channel). For my workflow, sustained performance is important and this drive definitely delivers; it’s way faster than any memory card I’d be offloading footage from. These drives are definitely overkill for this setup, as they’re PCIe Gen4 and can do up to 5GB/s read and 4.When you compare it in size to a typical 4-drive spinning media RAID, it is much smaller, quieter and lighter.
