Still incredible value for money and the screen was far better than the Fenix 5+ which was around at the time and you has music and navigation and could pair sensors too, none of which Fitbit were doing.

There’s a built-in music player but you have to upload music via the phone app and then use the built-in speaker or pair up Bluetooth headphones to listen to audio. That means it’s sitting up against watches like the Garmin Forerunner 255 as opposed to the pricier (and newer) Forerunner 265, the Polar Pacer Pro, and also comes in cheaper than the Coros Apex 2. I've already got a Coros Apex 42mm for running, but I'd like to upgrade into something with more smart features.
The strap is a perfectly comfortable nylon one that, while isn’t the best in class nylon strap I’ve used, hasn’t caused any sort of irritation during runs and can also be easily removed. Unless you need any of the few missing performance metrics, it’s a good assumption the newer the watch, the longer it’s going to be supported and get updates. In terms of training features, you can create workouts that can be synced to the watch and then there are more advanced features like Zepp Coach and the AI-powered Zepp Coach Chat.Runners can choose from a variety of dials and configurations to tailor the watch's appearance to their personal style. I’ll caveat this by saying my Garmin experience is with the Swim 2 which I only use for swimming, and a Venu 2 Plus which is a fine smartwatch (and has ECG) but lacks some of the fitness features of the lower end Garmins and Coros Pace 2. Bottom line, this is a watch that can last for a week and go longer, depending on what features are in regular use. There's significant wandering in the example above, but the distance came out correct in the end – so it's workable for those less fussy about their data. You can calibrate the altimeter, but it doesn’t appear to properly calibrate itself using GPS (as a baseline).
