About this deal

It’ll take eight hours to charge the parent unit and no time at all to get to grips with the functions. Good baby breathing monitor but it could be better, cables could be longer and it would benefit from a two way walkie talkie so you can talk to your baby. I've read that you have to cut a piece of wooden board to fit the movement monitors under the mattresses of cots. When the Sensor Pad is in place, proceed to the 4 corner test to set the optimal Sensor Pad sensitivity for your cot.

The others, however, are of the opinion that the motion sensor element would actually make them more paranoid, and sleep less than they already would with a new baby in the house. It also offers brilliantly clear infrared night vision and it has volume control through simple up and down buttons on the side. Recently I spent the evening with a friend who has a sensor mat and the alarm went off one night and she went in to find her 6 month old not breathing. It’s a very sleek-looking set-up, and I was instantly impressed with the size of the screen and clarity of picture.Part of me thinks the movement monitor pad will be easier to use without having to take on and off etc. The Angelcare Baby Monitor is a sound monitor so you can keep an ear on whether they are awake when you might be too far away in the house, or there’s a lot of noise going on, to guarantee you’ll hear them. The talkback function was also a great feature (especially when our tester needed to tell her other child to get back to bed). The video ones are all well and good but your not going to see them not breathing when your asleep so i'd be constantly watching looking for movement.

Angelcare's sensasure movement sensor pad reassures you, by only alarming if no movements have been detected for 20 seconds. My hubby and I have found a different video monitor we really like so this would be purely for movement and sound. There’s another great feature of Angelcare baby monitors, one which I doubt we’ll take advantage of, but is there if we need to. It’s also perfect if you have a very wriggly baby and you need to use two cameras to take in the whole area that the baby may cover during the night. This monitor’s biggest selling point would be the movement sensor pad; there aren’t many of these on the market that are as sleek and slim as this one. On first impressions, I noticed that the monitor doesn’t have too many parts and looks easily portable for travel, although a travel case is not included.
