About this deal

While I can appreciate the benefit of a curve on a large ultra-wide panel, the appeal on smaller, 16:9 panels is less obvious, and during regular work or gameplay, I struggle to see any meaningful advantage to the arc on a 27in screen such as this.

We also have some great Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) technology here, with GIGABYTE using its exclusive IC design with a microphone array that will see ambient noise lower -- a big benefit to your team mates in a game. INFO WON’T BE BLOCKED BY GAMES The AORUS Dashboard shows you critical hardware information in real-time such as CPU voltages, clock speed, temperatures, usage, fans speed and other AORUS exclusive functions, such as GameAssist.

With the Aorus CV27Q, Gigabyte wants to rule the booming market of gaming monitors—and in our opinion, the 1440p gaming monitor’s chances, with its 27-inch, curved monitor, make it a strong contender. If you still can't find what you're looking for, feel free to contact us and we'll be happy to help.

Other than this, I did not mind the steeper curve and the response time was much better than my CV27Q, a clear difference in all games, I have to admit. The dead giveaway is the aggressively angular design of the two LED light strips on the back of the housing, which offer a wide array of changeable modes and colors. I did not hear about this issue in any of the reviews and did not know about it until I found it just comparing my CV27Q and the G7 side by side, randomly looking at some photos. Here, we can monitor the whole system, including CPU and GPU temperatures, and FPS counts without the need of any additional software. Onscreen timer can keep track of elapsed game time, and the gaming counter can help the gamer to calculate the opponent's use of props or any count information. An MPRT benchmark can also be influenced by other things, for example the use of Ultra Low Motion Blur technology, or as Aorus has dubbed it with the CV27Q: Aim Assist. There's not a whole lot to dislike from an aesthetic point of view - Aorus even integrates the power supply to help minimise clutter - however we do think the Aorus logo on the front could be sleeker. Moving on to gaming-specific features of the Aorus CV27Q, one of the capabilities that GIGABYTE is especially proud of is its 2 nd Generation active noise canceling (ANC) technology.

Besides these issues, I love the monitor, love the curve, the colors are ok, brightness is enough and build quality feels premium. The subtle design is super nice and there are no unnecessary details on the front that will distract you from your games. Whether this happens is ultimately up to NVIDIA – which is why GIGABYTE isn't advertising it as a feature quite yet – but as the company already has other monitors that have been certified by NVIDIA, GIGABYTE should have the expertice to pass certification here as well.
