This extreme version is, like another member mentioned, what the original should be: more coffee, less sweetness. This doesn't have the most intense projection, but I'm okay with that - coffee is a strong, bitter note, and I could see that being problematic for others if it's too aggressive. Instead what I get is greatest hits of Opium, Good Girl CH, L'Interdit Intense and some Tresor a'la Folie. YSL Black Opium Illicit Green EDP - An energising and fresh version of the iconic Black Opium EDP, with Green Mandarin and Fig added to the signature Black Coffee base. It's such a shame that the longevity and projection on this one are very poor because I like Black Opium Extreme a lot better than the original.

I can definitely still smell some vanilla and patchouli on my one arm, albeit it's definitely fainter and I need my nose directly to my skin to smell, and my other arm it's nearly gone but faintly there. This is absolutely an autumnal or winter and more of a night-time perfume, I think I would suffocate my coworkers if I wore this to the office in the middle of a hot, humid July hahaha. opening notes are spices I guess its coffee and cacao or some kind earthy note(patchouli) then it becomes sweet not sickning sweet .I won't be purchasing this just because I know I'm over this scent profile and still have a 3/4 bottle left of the edp black opium to last me a lifetime but it's nice to see its improved even under loreal. Please be aware my review is based on my personal preference for sweet scents, and I tend to dislike spicy notes in almost any degree.
