I purchased this multi-tool 2 years ago and i have used it alot, it is very durable and extremely strong buikd, ive dropped it from a roof and nothing was wrong with it, think it did more damage to the floor, but couldnt be happier with this product from dewalt, highly recommend to everyone that asks. An every day tool that I would be lost with out if your laying wooden floor this is the must tool to do the job right. Brilliant bit of kit, when I first got it I didn’t think I would use it much but now it’s one of my most used tools, I mainly use it for cutting timber and plasterboard, with the correct blades it works a treat, the dust extraction accessory is a must have! It's a great tool , it gets a little bit hot if you use it for prolonged periods but I think I was over using it and being too lazy to go out to the shed for a proper sander . My favourite power tool of all, built exceptionally well, like all of the tools in the Dewalt XR range, and really powerful for cutting metal, plastic, wood, plasterboard and brickwork. Absolutely outstanding piece of kit, whether you are cutting drywall to fit back boxes, notching out wooden joists, cutting pvc pipework etc it can do it all with total ease. Plenty of power but I would recommend using other brands of blade as the dewalt ones are expensive and they don't last any longer.Great multi tool easy blade change system doesnt get to hot , feels good in the hand if you get a 54v battery with it will work all day. If you're looking to get good blades just get them if you're going to use a diamond blade or perhaps something for cutting metal as the cheap ones do blunt quick. The best multi tool I have used, ease to use, soft touch application just increase press to increase speed, we'll vented.
Only down side is that it appears to get hot to hold when used for a while / or load put onto the cut ? Yeah spot on one of my favourite tools, and the one I use is the DeWalt DCS355, it's the brush-less 18 volt multi tool, so yeah check it out. I’ve owned a dewalt multi tool for a long time now, I think I would be lost without it now, it really is very handy, battery lasts quite long especially the 5ah, I would truly recommend this item. Would recommend Dewalt, had mine for few years now, has never let me down and is still surprising me and what it can do. If you’ve never had a multi tool then I’d strongly advise getting one, so handy for cutting boards and investigation holes in ceilings/ boarding etc when looking for leaks or cables.P>
