times in the last 8 years here a GP light was triggered by a burnt out bulb that cold diagnosis didn't prompt. Plus, continued cranking would eventually work if a leak was the problem - fuel would get there eventually - I presume. I'm tempted to think one of the sensors you mention could be responsible - can anyone else narrow it down further?

The good guys at Stratstone have had a look at the car and have found nothing un-toward withthe car, No codes, not even any old ones. I had glow plug lights up and limp mode several times due to post dpf sensor going intermittent open circuit.Having just had a quick look at the factsheet I think you need a voltmeter to get the code for a 95 model, but it's pretty well explained in the factsheet. OP - First off check the Ground point on the drivers side strut tower, then take a good look round the loom for chafe points, with the engine running and the light off, get some one to watch it and give the loom and the plugs the "wiggle test" - which should be self explanatory, hopefully some part of it will cause the failure. Im using the app so cant see ur model, my had 73k on clock, u could just change the faulty one but in my opinion the rest could be on thier last legs too? The inaccessible clogged valve at the back was giving the glow plug warning light on, 4-5 months ago. S’pose the reasoning will be along the lines of we’ll single handedly kill off all the polar bears with the extra miles so best not give the driver that choice, it doesn’t matter that he’ll have to shell out for extra oil changes or maintenance.
After about 5 mins of driving the light went off and I didn't see it on again all the way home (20 mins). For info the car has done 49k miles in just under 5 years and I have owned from new and treated it well!
