About this deal

The Seven Stories fiction list began with Nelson Algren stories, with titles like "The Face on the Barroom Floor" and "The Lightless Room.

Some of the characters were completely unbelievable and I felt the author did the book a disservice by flashing big neon signs over the top his twists.

TO be honest I only read this book because my boyfriend only reads Chris Ryan and Andy Mcnabb books. It’s an erotic tale of blood pacts and arranged marriages and dangerous antihero in the mysterious Antonio Huntsman when Daniela’s father gives her hand, and his vineyards, to Antonio. Maybe because I'm quite defensive of Daniela, she's such a quiet and vulnerable soul with her own unique strength.

I felt the tension and the dread as Antonio's fate was sealed sooner than he thought when Manuel D'Sousa's final moment had finally come. FYI: The first 65 pages of this book gives the beginning of the story beginning with Antoni0 taking over Daniela's wine vineyard legacy. Antonio is such a complex character and I have a feeling there is so much more to him then what we see on the surface and I have a feeling his layers are goin to unravel as we dive deeper into the next book and I can’t wait.I read it to the end and kind of enjoyed it, but my memory of Ryan's previous books is that they were a lot better quality. She stood by her husband while he built an empire, but now that they've reached the top, she realizes he's no longer the man she fell for. Readers seeking an emotional tale with broad themes of trust, betrayal, and forgiveness will do well by choosing Murray's latest effort.

A*'s across the board for high-octane suspense, steamy romance, sizzling steam and my-oh-my mafia action. I have to be sincere, I wanted to hate this man, Antonio, but something in him made me reluctant about it. a group of ex soldiers went on a mission to make some quick money, things get worse because the planner had some other plans. This is yet another, slightly generic story by Chris Ryan, the ex-SAS man whose strength is to make the pulse-pounding action in his stories seem extraordinarily real. Parable of the Talents is the continuation of the travails of Lauren Olamina, the heroine of 1994's Nebula-Prize finalist, bestselling Parable of the Sower.Antonio raised him well and what I love about Antonio is that he will do everything for the people he loves. An original and provocative condemnation of much that other novelists deem sacred, it may also attract Pynchon and Barthelme fans looking for a new challenge. There are double-crosses all round, death and danger at every corner, and Ryan isn’t afraid to be coldly explicit when describing murder – yes, little kids are killed, and killed violently, which is very upsetting when you read it. S. presidency, this is a book about a society whose very fabric has been torn asunder, and where the basic physical and emotional needs of people seem almost impossible to meet.
