About this deal

When I say this is in the family of NR Poudree and MontBlanc Signature, I mean it isn’t the same but all 3 create a similar picture in my head. Put the fragrance back in the box - you'll want to keep away from light - and also keep in a cool place. First impression: It's a Turkish delight made of Orris and Violet, sticky and chewy, topped with sugar powder, sweet and strong.

I got this fragrance over the summer and I didn’t like it for that season, but as it gets cooler, it starts to smell good to me. Side by side they are very similar but Junoon Noir is a bit sweeter and has much better projection and longevity on my skin (woohoo!JN has a balmier vanilla and is more tropical citrus in the opening, while HM is a woodier vanilla with a blueberry note in the air. The fruit notes are hardly coming across as top notes and are more-so blended with the middle-heart notes. However, I've discovered another fresh vanilla but much less powdery and I might start a new relationship with that one. It adds almost a yeasty, milk bun quality to the tart citrus and powdery florals - which is probably where the creaminess originates.

Established in 1970, we are market leaders and pioneers in producing fine and unique Middle Eastern fragrances, including our renowned Agarwood, Bukhoors, Attars, Eau de Parfums, Body Lotions and Deodorants. To my nose, this fragrance smells like warm brown sugar cookies with a hint of violet in the dry down.

Florientals, such as this one, (the word is a portmanteau of floral+oriental) are voluptuous but lighter than pure orientals. update: after wearing this a couple hours i am positive i get this very delina-like tartness from the scent, which kind of lingers on until the very tail end of the drydown. I've had men stop and ask what I am wearing because they want to but it for their significant other.

As for longevity and sillage, I find that both perfumes perform similarly on my skin - they last pretty much all day but sit close to the skin, and throughout the day I would get whiffs from both of perfumes as I move.On me, I do not get much jasmine at all, however it is extremely violet forward, and almost smells like French lilac - which I was pleasantly surprised by as the presentation of purple flowers are very different, and quite unpredictable from white florals. I’m going to let it macerate for 10-15 days, maybe a month, and then observe if there are any changes in longevity.

It's almost like a delicate, soft lemon cookie with buttercream icing and tons of powdered sugar and a flower on top.I needed a really easy no questions asked everyday scent to add to my collection, and I think this is it. Unlike other scents, I experienced the top and heart note of Junoon Noir to be the longest lasting - and the base only peeks out after a good 4-5 hours of wear, fading into a woody, spicy vanilla that still retains a soft citrusy quality.
