About this deal

Our hatred for each other couldn’t keep us apart, not even when my own mistake got Manson expelled and made me the ultimate villain to the rest of them. His insecurities, the fact that he’s a switch, his begrudgingly vulnerability… Fuck, I have a type and he checks all the boxes. because the four guys were so similar, none of their relationships with jessica felt very authentic or distinct from each other. A while back I read Harley Laroux's short story about Jessica, a former cheerleader and prom queen who's reunited on Halloween with her onetime victim, Manson. The dare is one of my favourite novellas ever, so make sure you read it first because it starts everything off for losers.

In my opinion Jaclyn did a better job even when narrating the boys point of views in Jess's chapters and the audiobook would have benefited from her reading it all. I’m sure there are way more, but these are the ones I found when reading, which didn’t bother me one bit. Jessica Martin, Manson Reed, Lucas Bent, Jason Roth and Vincent Volkov can do no wrong in my eyes defending them forever 🫂 bundle them up and keep them in my pocket. So imagine my joy when I saw that not only has Laroux followed up, she's turned the story of Jess and Manson into a full-scale RH, with the addition of Jason, Lucas, and Vincent.I've been reading and reviewing books on my blog since leaving the Navy in 2011, and I will keep doing it as long as possible. Granted, it's smutty and kinky AF but at it's heart it's heartwarming to see them all realize that against all odds, they work. You don't want any more frustrating choices, you don't want to have to think about being judged or rejected. also, the found family and polyamory in this is very beautiful and truly some of the best (and most healing + hopeful) in the romance genre.

Daddy Manson is always collected and in control, he has the filthiest mouth and he knows how to make you quiver with shame to later on make you fly with his praise. When Jessica and Manson end up at the same Halloween party, Manson challenges her to a game of Drink or Dare, and Jessica can't pass up a challenge. I absolutely love this story, from reading the dare to now finishing part 2 I wish this story didnt end. Although I definitely don’t want my daughter to find out about my favorite kinks and look at me strangely. Also, I've mentioned before that I'm not too keen on M/M if I feel that it detracts from the heroine, but I think it's handled well here; it's quite clear that Jess means something special to all the boys even when they have personal relationships with each other. The characters are beautiful, the story has been a rollercoaster and even some parts had me on the edge of my seat in suspense.
