I've recieved a couple of compliments when wearing it, but that's within the first 30 minutes after applying it. I can also detect a bit of a soft bitter green note from the violet leave before getting to a sensual suede note and the pleasant warm sweetness of amber all wrapped in a lovely clean musk. The first thing that came to my mind when I tried this was CK One, they share the same pleasant smell. Obviously its kinda synthetic smell, not in a bad way, but the good thing is that it has a unique profile unlike all of the other abercrombie fragrancies that tend to copy famous fragrances. even if you do own either of those two, it is still a great frag if you want to add it to your collection.Dispersing into the air, spiced Szechuan Pepper smoulders at the centre, a piquant heart of seduction offset by powdery Violet Leaves . Often times summer fragrances come off a bit too fruity/sweet for my taste, however there are just enough suede/musk notes to offset this and provide a subtle masculinity that wears well on hot summer days. Blended nicely, second part has a toned down sweetness, no more gourmandise smells overall and a more rounded balm-like floral result. Tropical fruit vibes, cocktail like freshness, and little bit biscuit creamy-ness really brings the openings on another level. I have to admit I've been wondering about getting a new perfume as I've not bought one in ages and I couldn't find one yesterday morning to put on!

if you want a little more grown up version(or a slightly different take)on First Instinct, JC Man is worth a sniff IMHO.

I really love the smell of First Instinct it just makes me happy it’s a simple fragrance no bells and whistles. I was hoping the sweet gin and melon would make it more tropical, but alas it's very boring in the end. I'll have to find out if it ends up cloying in the hottest Summer days, but even if it is there's plenty of appropriate scenarios for a scent like this. Performance not the greatest, hence the only time I'd see myself wearing this is cuddling up with a girl, watching movies or just indoors 1on1, wouldn't wear ir on any other circumstance.
