About this deal
Most schools and holiday clubs have ‘no touch’ policies in place, making it impossible for teachers and teaching staff to assist children when applying sunscreen.
I say proper, we have dipped our toes on New Year’s Day but this time it was a “swim shorts, bikini and sun cream at the ready” type of visit. This little bottle comes empty so that you can choose your favourite brand of suncream to add inside, as we all know some children react to certain creams or we just have a favourite brand, Harry, for instance, can only wear a few different brands due to his eczema. What I will say is I unknowingly went against the grain and did what the Solar Buddies recommendations say not to do. The product, which is also available in a bundle of two, three and four, has received numerous positive five-star reviews online. The Solar Buddies have been specially designed for children to use whilst in school; however after their launch in 2015 they have proven popular with adults too!
Harper (aged 3) currently has a mild obsession with sun cream, and being apply to apply it for herself meant the SolarBuddy was a huge hit with her. Solar Buddies is a sun safety teaching tool, although, we do advise that there is adult supervision to ensure even coverage. I was very impressed with the quality, ease and mess-free applicator, that parents, teachers and children can all use. Protect your shoulders and head as this can help stop sunburn of the neck, shoulders and top of the ears.
The choice of sun protection to use in Solar Buddies is up to you, but we recommend using an alcohol free product. The best friends from Cwmbran in Wales created Solar Buddies, a refillable, roll-on sunscreen applicator. The applicator has a roller ball, with sponge padding for extra comfort, to allow easy application and absorption of sun cream for children.
