About this deal
Jennie: For not much reason that I could figure, it’s then another 80 pages – a good 1/3 into the book – before Riaz and Adria give into their pounding lust for each other (lust we hear about at length throughout) and decide on a sort of friends-with-benefits arrangement. Janine: I think it had to do with a crack Hawke made about double dating with Sienna’s much younger friends. The main character of this novel is an unfortunate fellow that entered a game world doomed to be destroyed, he now has the mission of saving it. I will say, my first immediate thought was that she did that to justify sticking them in the story in the first place. When a lot of times it's simply the MC not understanding the other characters (or not even trying to understand).
Lip service is given to the women being strong (particularly the dominant ones, though there’s condescending business in this book about how intimidating the “maternals” can be), but it’s just a sham.In short he does a decent job preparing for things in advance despite things changing from the original scenario, but most of it is solved by the plot armor system.
I’m pretty convinced the Ghost is Vasic because Kaleb seems to have romantic feelings for someone and the Ghost seems so be devoid of emotion. So I guess I believe in Riaz/Adria because I want to, despite the problems Singh has introduced into their situation.MC is not passive it seems, it looks like he'll actually use his system to get as strong as possible to survive whatever is to come, so yeah looking forward to more. I mean, I’ll probably be rereading the sections pertaining to the Ghost and Judd, but I don’t know about the rest.
