About this deal

Light brown curls that were always a mess fell into his playful hazel eyes and over his dark, thick eyebrows. I constantly go back to the books I’ve read and change the ratings, which are usually rated more low.

I want to say that they have hate sex once or twice, but I already forgot with all the sex they had. And the author mostly told their love story and their character growth through sex – I thought it was not a small feat to accomplish, especially to convince a reader like myself. I also seldom want to start a book over immediately upon finishing it and I'm still tempted to jump back in this bublé.We follow the story of Shane and Ilya, two rival hockey players that have an enemies to lovers Romance that flourishes in the span of seven years. When I was writing their story, I really wasn’t sure if any publisher would go for it because it’s kind of a weird book. UPDATE 2022: it's my fifth time reading Shane and Ilya's story and it never gets old - they are by far my most favourite MM couple! This book is also extremely high heat in a way where you can’t skim and skip through the sex scenes like you could with the first book, because I also feel like a lot of relationship development is in those sex scenes, so that was kind of a bummer.

Their relationship starts in 2008 and the book ends sixteen months after July 2017 (you do the math). As the characters changed and grew, so did their perspectives and outlooks, but their characterization stayed consistent. I like how Ilya’s family issues was handled, kudos for not letting that drag out throughout the story. It’s not quite enemies-to-lovers, it’s not a traditional slow burn, it spans almost a decade, and it doesn’t have a definitive happy ending. Shane’s team goes head to head against Scott’s team a few times as we see in this book, but Scott never mentions Shane at all?I was a little disappointed with the ending, mostly because the MCs remain in the closet and only a few people know that they're a couple. The balance between how angsty the situation was and how little angst we actually saw following the characters felt off for me. Instead, he crushed their mouths together and kissed Shane in a raw, uncontrolled way that felt like an apology. Uno sport romance mm meraviglioso, che narra la storia di due ragazzi che nell'arco di 8 anni si frequentano, ma la loro non è propriamente una relazione, ma solo un insieme di incontri fugaci, di pochi momenti rubati.

This is a must read for every MM hockey romance fan 💕 Ilya and Shane were everything and are definitely amongst my favourite fictional couples now. It was how we’re set to believe they’ve known each other for six years, yet all they did for the majority of the book was hook up.Shane's sexual discovery felt organic and I appreciated Rose's characterization and positivity so much. But when you only let your characters be together as rivals in the ice and fuck buddies in hotels, it becomes cheap. I didn’t keep track of how many sex scenes there are, but there are 15 (I got this from Alisa’s review). athletes may not have much time for doing other dating activities and not figure out right away that their relationship evolved into something bigger tha just sex. Ilya is bisexual and Russian, and Shane is gay and Canadian (with Japanese roots, although him being part Japanese is pretty irrelevant).

Few months ago, during an Ice Hockey reading mood , I "discovered" Rachel Reid and her Ebook, Heated Rivalry .Kip is floundering, still living with his parents after college and feeling like he’s at a dead end. I was scared to do this audiobook because of the horrible experience I had with book one in the series.
