If you need a dehumidifier for a big space or want to dry laundry, I’d really recommend the 25l model. Once you've slid the tank out, there's a handle on the top to carry it, and a spout on each side so you can empty it by tipping it in either direction. If we put it on a loose floorboard it gives off a low vibrating sound, but that’s probably more due to loose floorboards than the Meaco.it's potentially not so good for the summer months, although most of us are probably unlikely to be running a dehumidifier when the weather is at its warmest.

For the purpose of this MeacoDry Arete One Dehumidifier review, I tested out the MeacoDry Arete One 12L Dehumidifier, which can extract 12 Litres of moisture from the air per day, making it ideal for use in flats, apartments, and rooms of up to 50 m². When we discovered we could also use the dehumidifier to dry clothes, we got the Meaco Arete One 25l.I also tested the Arete One in Laundry Mode where it runs at maximum dehumidification and maximum fan speed for six hours before switching off. Meaco wanted the Arete to be useful all year round, so every Arete One dehumidifier includes a H13 HEPA filter. It does a superb job of getting rid of excess moisture in the air, the automatic Smart Humidity Mode works perfectly, and in my tests, it reduced the moisture in my damp-prone rooms to the ideal humidity level in a very short period of time.

This dehumidifier also offers a night mode which keeps the fans on low in case you want to use it in a bedroom overnight, but, I found the MeacoDry Arete One very quiet whichever mode I had it running in. If you want to tackle damp in your home, then you can trust the MeacoDry Arete One to get the job done. Although a word of warning, the water tank can be heavy when full, so you’ll need a steady hand to walk to the sink as it’s easy to splash the water around.

There are two large slots to the left and right that naturally accommodate your fingers, This gives you a strong hold on the tank, which pulls out smoothly so that you can place it on the floor.
