About this deal

Certainly I think this would be an excellent book for someone who does want to get seriously into mixing. Great stuff, this book is a very complete guide to start mixing your songs on a amateur home studio. User-friendly explanations introduce technical concepts on a strictly need-to-know basis, while chapter summaries and assignments are perfect for school and college use. I've made quite a few changes to my "studio" where the book recommends them strongly to great effect. Now extensively expanded and updated, including new sections on mix-buss processing, mastering, and the latest advances in plug-in technology.

It's pretty awesome to stumble across a quarterly print 'zine that's "dedicated to increasing visibility for women working in live and recorded sound. So while I didn't need to learn how a compressor works, I enjoyed this book and took good things away from it.
