About this deal

I also felt like Sera's strength shone through and I like her character arc❌SPOILER WARNING❌•••••The most hilarious part of this book was Sera using a glass dildo as a weapon. I still find it weird though how Attes told Sera that they didn’t have much time to talk, but they then proceeded to have a conversation that lasted for more than 20 pages. Due to this diagnosis, educating people on the varying degrees of blindness has become another passion for her, right alongside writing, which she plans to do for as long as she can. There was a definite lack of sex up until the last hundred pages or so, but I don't feel like the 2.

I really enjoyed seeing things come to light and watching Sera grow to accept things about herself and come to certain realizations. Also, I recommend highly to go read them if you haven’t read them because along with the Blood and ash series, it is my favorite JLA book series.because the second one disappointed me so much as we had 70% sex (or thinking of sex) and 30% story. It's dragging out the series far longer than it needs to be, and although I can see the relevance, I haven't connected with it the same way. His character arc has some major development of its own, and, as always, his Daddy Nyktos/Dotting Husband vibes are an absolute treat. Armentrout comes book three in her beloved Flesh and Fire series… The only thing that can save the realms now is the one thing more powerful than the Fates.

Stina Nielsen is a New York based actress who has performed in Film, TV, Broadway, London's West End, and at many American Regional Theaters.I am amazed at the time, skill and energy it must take to keep everything straight – to know when to reveal, to hint and to keep to yourself. I found JLA's self-awareness of the Lasania/Lasagne debate kind of cringy, but I did enjoy all the different flavoured waters Sera got to drink. It reads like JLA had planned 3 books, knew she wasn’t going to make the deadline for this so added in loads of filler content and added in a 4th book for next year.

Definitely the longest book, I think, of the series, it took me a full day and night of dedicated reading to get through the entire thing. Other things that bugged me: Why does she have to sleep (in FBAA world), there's no scenes with Jadis or Reaver (UNACCEPTABLE! From book one, I've been invested in their characters, and in "Fire in the Flesh," Armentrout not only maintains but surpasses my expectations. But, ultimately, as this is a prequel, while we don’t know how things will go down—we do know what will go down. The developing scenario raises issues of fate, control, and the unexpected strands that weave across the cosmic fabric. This is really the fist we get to interact with Kolis, outside his weird dream death threats to a literal child.

The last part of the story when our lovers are reunited was brilliant, nerve-wracking, and delightful. Every time I think JLA has exhausted her shocking twists in the plot line twisting through the Flesh and Fire series and the Blood and Ash series, she goes and proves me wrong! I really enjoyed the first two books in the series, and I knew with the way ALITF left off, there was a lot that was bound to happen. Jennifer has won numerous awards, including the 2020 Goodreads Choice Award in Romance for her adult fantasy, From Blood and Ash. His sheer determination and refusals to let anyone treat Sera like she isn’t the most important thing is so adorable. His very clear love for Sera, contrasted against his kardia being removed, has always been interesting.
