About this deal

The British pressing is a real collector's item for every record collector who collects all the rock records from the 60s to 90s! The ‘Let It Be’ album has been newly mixed by producer Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell, All the new ‘Let It Be’ releases feature the new stereo mix of the album as guided by the original “reproduced for disc” version by Phil Spector and sourced directly from the original session and rooftop performance eight-track tapes.

The album was delayed further and in fact became their 12th and final official album release on 8th May 1970 following additional production by American producer Phil Spector. It was initially released as a box set, with a 168-page book titled "Get Back", containing stills and dialogue from the film. The ‘Let It Be’ album has been newly mixed by producer Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell in stereo. My album has on side 1- Phil+Ronnie, JS-17,500-15, with 3 small dots under the 15 and a large one next to it, a 2 on it’s back, the bell sound stamp, sf stamp, and an *. My own copies (I have two – another variant lists the Fab Four as arrangers of "Maggie Mae" on the label) are all Scranton. Get Back was ultimately assembled under the title of Let It Be by the American producer Phil Spector in early 1970.

I believe it is a legit pressing as everything I have found online to identify true pressings notes it as such, BUT it is missing the "Phil + Ronnie" etching. Hi karin_templin, you could check the releases The Beatles - Let It Be, The Beatles - Let It Be, The Beatles - Let It Be, The Beatles - Let It Be , The Beatles - Let It Be, The Beatles - Let It Be.

Genuine Let It Be pressings with the red Apple were mastered at Bell Sound by a guy named Sam Feldman and that’s why you can see his initials “sf” scratched into the vinyl above. The former was issued as a single in March 1970, and like all the album’s recording to this point, was produced by George Martin. This version sounds awesome, I’ve compared to multiple records, and I thought this one sounded best. However, the critical response was generally unfavourable, and Let It Be came to be regarded as one of the most controversial rock albums in history. Although many criticised this album for what it's not (especially coming after Abbey Road)it shows the group as they are at the time, fragmenting all the while still making great music.

There is further weakening to the inner parts of the box, some creasing and small tears where the book sits in the recess, but this is the norm for this design of box and copies that have not shown any age distressing are almost mythical and very rarely seen these days. Language - Regardless of country of origin all tracks are sung in English, unless otherwise stated in our description. By the way, the “IAM” in the triangle stands for the International Association of Machinists Union whose workers ran the pressing plant). It was released on 8 May 1970 by the band’s Apple Records label shortly after the group announced their break-up.

The Super Deluxe collections also feature 27 previously unreleased session recordings, a four-track ‘Let It B’e EP, and the never before released 14-track ‘Get Back’ stereo LP mix compiled by engineer Glyn Johns in May 1969. They then decamped to their new studio in their Apple office building in Saville Row and on January 30th performed their last ever live group performance on the rooftop. In April 1969, the Beatles issued the single Get Back, after which engineer Glyn Johns prepared and submitted mixes of the album – then titled Get Back and subsequently rejected – that were widely bootlegged before release. On 09/09/09 (Number Nine, Number Nine, Number Nine) the album was re-released as part of the Beatles "In Stereo Remasters" collection. This album has been prepared using the 2009 digital remasters which had been created from the original stereo analogue master tapes. John Lennon – lead and backing vocals, rhythm guitar, lead guitar on “Get Back”, lap steel guitar on “For You Blue”, acoustic guitar on “Two of Us”, “Across the Universe” and “Maggie Mae”, six-string bass guitar on “Dig It”, “Let It Be” and “The Long and Winding Road”, whistling on “Two of Us”.
