About this deal

Its easy just take out the stereo unit, be careful not to set off the airbag light or it will need resetting.

If four phones are already paired, you need to delete at least one profile to complete pairing a new phone. If you have the Media Interface its well worth getting the correct genuine VAG cable to connect the Iphone directly then the radio controls can be used to select tracks, playlists etc. I've read various conflicting things and I know what year the car is and colour of MFD can make a difference.Since you say the car doesn't have set up controls on the steering wheel, you need to use the (right) wiper lever controls for menu selections.

I also think there is a wider following on the internet for RNS510, so you will find more support for updated maps, firmware and other hacks. Do I have the bluetooth adapter installed on this radio, how do I find out and if not I would like to know what the cheapest way to do this is? I did it on a Golf MK5 2006 before with one of the XCarlink modules and that worked allowing usb, SD card and aux out/in. When I select the music option on the external bluetooth screen the iphone detects it, switches to the car mode and I can change the tracks from the bluetooth device, but no sound comes through the speakers. In my golf I too had no Bluetooth box under passenger seat so in my golf in arm rest is MDI connection so bought cheap lead off of famous auction site and MDI to USB and downloaded all my favourite music onto USB stick select media on head until and done all plays well.

I have a 65 plate caddy van, I've just put in an rcd 310 dab stereo, works great however I'm having issues with the Bluetooth connection when it comes to playing music. I have a golf mk6 with factory fitted RCD310 and although it says you have Bluetooth option you need to know if cars comes with Bluetooth box its usually under passenger seat if you have box under passenger seat you may have chance of Bluetooth music from mob to car stereo. High quality: The connector can ensure better contact, reduce signal loss and noise, and ensure perfect music transmission and clear sound quality. The unit works well at low volume but there is a bit of interference at high volumes between track that are playing.

Read more about the condition New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging is applicable). Recently bough a 2009 Passat Highline DSG and love it apart from the standard RCD310 stereo has no USB reader or Bluetooth connectivity. And also once you take keys out and then start it up again it will not show the media icon on the dash anymore. Had I been able to remove the HVAC dials I might've been able to fit it behind the HVAC controls, but our car has the three-dial controls and there is a metal connector controlling vent direction, meaning I couldn't remove the dials. To get the 'proper' VW Bluetooth system up and running you need one of the following: a touchscreen radio headunit (RCD-510, RNS-310, RNS-510), a multifunction steering wheel, or a highline cluster.
