About this deal

Similarly to real self-service checkouts, the Self-Service Supermarket has realistic sounds and lights to further stretch your little one’s imagination. HANDS-ON INTERACTION: Little ones will love interacting with this toy supermarket till, particularly when using the ‘touch-sensitive’ screen. I honestly think that this is one of the best toys we have had for the children and I am certain it will be played with, every single day, for years to come. I have talked in the past about how much they both love their babies and often this is all they play with!

Assembling the Self Service Supermarket was relatively easy, with the folding of the produce boxes and stickers the main part that took the additional time. When it comes to putting together new toys, I have learned from past experience that it is so much easier to complete during nap time or when they are at school/nursery – it has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that I might want to have the first go (to check it’s all working correctly – obviously). Not only does the Supermarket have all of our favourite household brands, but it also has realistic sounds and features. I think it is also a good one to start teaching my eldest a bit more about money and we may be able to start some simple addiction and subtraction with the notes and coins.View All Posts Tagged: baby direct, casdon, casdon self service supermarket, casdon self service supermarket till, casdon till, hello baby, hello baby direct, hello baby direct toys, hellobabydirect.

I quickly put the stickers in place before my helpful boys got home, and was mid-box assembly when I was clattered by the three in excitement that I was the best mom, EVER, for getting them a supermarket to play with. The buttons on the scanner also make a beep noise, there are two different noise levels so it doesn’t have to be too loud. We’re in Hampshire and we always manage to find something to do at the weekends that either doesn’t cost a great deal or is free, which is great. The boys’ futuristic version of my “Olden Days” [thank you, boys] toy is the super fancy Casdon Self Service Supermarket and it arrived this week in a very big box.

From stacking items on shelves to counting coins, the Self-Service Supermarket offers many ways to learn through play. The girls favourite part was making payment using the coins, notes and debit card that comes with the set. When I was asked to review the Casdon Self Service Supermarket, I knew she would be thrilled to help! This Self-Service Supermarket goes above and beyond all expectations, delivering a top-class supermarket experience without having to wait to get served! It comes with a roll of blank paper for the receipts which can be replaced by simply pulling off the lever at the cover.

I usually leave assembly to my husband but actually setting up the supermarket was not too bad at all. I took most of these photos of Budapest myself druing our weekend there – but a couple of them I nabbed from Unsplash. Educational toys play a big role in this, as they keep on introducing and nurturing children with educational topics, their surroundings, life skills and many more. I’ll be honest with you, the initial set-up is a little time consuming, with the Self-Service Supermarket needing full assembly and each individual cardboard item constructed and stickers applied. You also have to make up some pretend food into small boxes and this was quite straight forward too.Casdon Self-Service Supermarket is an electronic till which has been designed to replicate todays self-contained, self-service checkouts! Very disappointed that this birthday present arrived in no brown boxing so present was clearly on view for our 3 year old grandson!
