About this deal

Then 1881 Cerruti brought me back to the 90's where most men started wearing the new trend - sweeter, lighter, aquatics. The initial hit is a riot of notes, however, it very quickly settles into a wonderful dry down that's citrus, spice and wood. On the other hand, ADG is fantastic summer perfume accepted all around the the world and can be used anywhere anytime, but Cerruti is at home exactly where it is created - in Italy.

Feels like it could be worn to fit in with the older gentlemen in suits at a social event at a hall but nothing that lasts past 8 pm . With so many better men's fragrances out there in classic-land, I say save your money and your nose; skip this one. Refined, bright and fresh, reminiscent of sunny days on the Mediterranean, a tranquil walk in the shade of cypresses, junipers and stone pines. It's a safe scent that will be generally well-behaved and well-received, but it's not likely to Wow!However, what I love mostly from Cerruti 1881 PH compared to the rest of the ‘powerhouses’ is the notes which are blended so perfectly creating the perfect aroma providing me with that sense of comfort, energy and joy for hours, all seasons round at any given day or night. It's a surprisingly good fragrance - quite masculine with some nice notes in there, although nothing more than "nice". It has a fresh earthy-vetiver opening, and then dries down to this wonderful warm woody oakmoss/cypress/juniper smoothness. Due to its scent notes, it is a perfect option for day-to-day use and can be used during any season of the year.

You get a fresh burst of zesty citrus and basil in the opening which eventually dries-down to a slick woody base of Sandalwood, Patchouli, Musk and Oakmoss. I am italian, I know my old school masters but this is too dated, too old, maybe a granny could wear such fragrance. but still performs decently: I get around 7 hours on skin, with limited projection apart from the initial blast. One of my very first fragrance purchases during the mid to late 1990s simply because I had never smelled anything like it before. If there is one fragrance I would keep in my collection it would have to be this one without a shadow of a doubt. Refunds are credited to the original card or account you paid with and will take five to seven working days to be credited to your account, depending on your card provider. As it develops, 1881 is less astringent, with just a touch of sweetness from the ylang-ylang and black currants balancing the herbal top notes.

For example, some top note citrus scents smell stronger immediately upon application, while a lavender middle note may be sensed after some time from application as the top note evaporates. It's not even linear, closer to an accord, literally only lemon and cedar, reminiscent of a part of Azzaro Pour Homme.

It seems to quickly disappear to my own sense of smell but others have commented on it while I'm wearing it. For a scent that’s bursting with Italian luxury and French chic look no further than the Cerruti perfume collections.
