The charging case for the soundBuds2 is small enough to slip into a pocket with ease and has a fast-charge feature that can replenish the earbud batteries in an hour. As always, I’d recommend you try out all three sets of silicone tips for a couple of hours to ensure you choose the pair that fit best. A big issue for me, and I’m not sure if it was the way I was handling them, but the touch controls on each earbud are super sensitive to even the slightest of brushes which makes adjusting the headphones impossible without pausing your music or skipping to the next track. For optimum performance, a ‘Ferrite Core’ magnetic filter can be added to the IEC connector end of the cable (available separately). The wing tips are a nice touch too, and paired with the IPX5 rating, it makes the soundBuds 2 a pretty solid choice for fitness.

However, as was the case with the original soundBuds, there’s little evidence of the sort of sonic flair you might expect from a company such as Cyrus.
