Using the boom tube, Miracle, Dinah and Jon go to a habitable moon near Alpha Centauri, where they discover that Barda has escaped her chains and attacks Miracle. Miracle offers up the crystal ball, but before he can obtain it, the League ambush him, but fail to remove him from the chair and he attempts to flee.

Elsewhere, Aquaman is overwhelmed by a swarm of infected and both the Joker and Green Lantern are infected from viewing corrupted screens. As Arrow and Dinah prepare, Arrow expresses his reservations to his wife, only for her to nearly bench him and go with the league. DCeased: Dead Planet collects issues 1-7 of the series written by Tom Taylor with art by Trevor Hairsine. In Keystone City, Wally West, Max Mercury, Impulse and Jesse Quick evacuate the uninfected residents to an alternate Earth.

Using his super-speed, Wally is able to mass-produce the cure and he and Jon attempt to deliver it to as many people as possible before they are destroyed by the Amazos or by Trigon, who manifests in Paris. With technological and magical options expired, Mister Terrific theorises that the only hope for humanity is for Booster Gold to use his time machine. Darkseid summons the Black Racer, who is immediately restrained and has his essence extracted to keep Cyborg alive during the procedure. Another spectacularly well written installment in the DCeased storyline, and this time it seems to be the end?

He is truly fantastic at juggling many characters and knowing where they are and their roles to play.Inside, he meets with Etrigan, who explains that Trigon will be there soon and Swamp Thing was there to listen. Cyborg informs everyone they must leave, elaborating further that the Anti-Living are extensions of the Anti-Life Equation that can sense life and want to destroy it.

Meanwhile, Mister Terrific examines an infected Captain Boomerang and realises he needs to trace the origin of the virus. The two Supermen enter the ship and find a decimated Brainiac, who warns them that the infected New Gods are coming. You kind of miss the character work of DCeased, though, where Tom Taylor really made you care about a superhero right before killing them. Three weeks later, Jason tells Gordon that they must neutralize the infected in the cafeteria, but Gordon replies he will not willingly kill infected children.

In another part of the United States, Arsenal has managed to survive in the city of Chicago, saving those he can from the Anti-Living. With the evacuation from the Gotham Jungle completed, Poison Ivy declares she cannot abandon the Green and Harley decides to stay with her. He also makes good use of splash pages to capture some of the more iconic moments within each issue, allowing the reader to really soak in the sense of hope and life that still exists despite their mission to save a dead planet. All told, a somewhat unnecessary sequel to DCeased, almost entirely different, but enjoyable and satisfying and beautiful in its own right. When one lives within a bubble where life rhymes with peace, there are only unexpected tragedies or those that circulate in the media to reel them back to reality.

As they leave Gotham, Jason informs Gordon of the civilian identities of the Bat family and tells them of their deaths, including his daughter, Barbara Gordon.

The survivors of the infected apocalypse that ravaged Earth in the pages of DCeased have found a haven on a second Earth.
