About this deal

A couple of campers investigate, only to unleash a grotesque creature that keeps growing in size and loves to eat people.

I know, I know, it's all in the name of B-movie fun, yet it's difficult to get into an enterprise that appears to fall asleep on occasion, doing extraordinarily little with a promising concept collected from hundreds of merry creature features. Minor issues aside, the largest complain from me is the ample use of Digital Noise Reduction that is at play here. He also works on other magazines, including Monster Bash, Horror Biz, Monster Mania and Monsterpalooza. The meteorite soon crashes down pretty close to their campsite, which puts an end to the festivities.

Notable genre actors Seth Green and Ami Dolenz also star, and look for Alfonso Ribeiro playing against type during peak popularity of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air . The current US blu-ray is disastrous thanks to aggressive DNR (and I believe it may be an upscale too, but I can't remember. It’s a satire that plays off of other classics, like Invasion of the Body Snatchers, and favors quiet mystery.

Sure, there were some god-awful discoveries in the mix, but I also found a number of memorable movies that have since become “legends” in my book. But that’s not all, as we also have photo galleries, an enhanced opening sequence, local television coverage of the production, a tv spot, and the film’s theatrical trailer. As expected, a lot of these low rent movies turn out to be pure shit, but sometimes a golden nugget is excreted and without a doubt, The Deadly Spawn is one of the success stories.

Starring: Michael Jai White , John Leguizamo , Martin Sheen , Theresa Randle , Nicol Williamson , D. The fanzine had been started by El Paso effects fan Jay Duncan and Bohus in the 1970s; Bohus resurrected the title 20 years later and continues publishing it on an irregular basis. Vampire and Encounters of the Spooky Kind, with a cast of stars such as Sammo Hung, Lam Ching Ying and Cherie Chung.

The film has blood, great gore sequences, and some wicked creature effects, so it sounds good to me. Tusk may not be a perfect film, suffering from a slightly bloated runtime and some uneven jokes, but if Smith’s goal was to create a unique cinematic experience that both shocks and entertains in equal measure, I think he really hit the ball out of the park here. I admit I have a soft spot for this one, not just for being one of the rare evil djinn movies that go full-blown creature feature, but also for being set in my hometown.
