If you have any other questions, I have been using the first gen 18i20 for about 6 years now and the 2nd gen for a year. The Scarlett 18i20 Audio Interface is the premium model in 3rd generation and this is definitely for the professional music producers. Also, the industry-leading 24-bit/192 kHz AD-DA converters take performance to a new level, guaranteeing clearer sound with more punch across all frequencies. While most interfaces have defaults for some of their outputs, like 1 and 2 are often the main outs, what actually goes to each output is selectable in the interface software.
