About this deal

It’s a guide to simplifying the Fuji X100v as much, if not more than it’s a guide for getting the most out of every feature it offers. Change the focal length of the X100V from 35mm to 50mm with the Fujifilm TCL-X100 II Tele Conversion Lens . At just 150g the case is lightweight while providing protection to your camera without the need for a full-size camera bag, and for convenience there’s bottom access for changing the battery and memory card. Keep in mind that anyone can view public collections—they may also appear in recommendations and other places. What feels slightly crazy about this article is that I have only really dug into customising a few of the options.

Another unlabelled button on the Fuji X100V is the centre button on the viewfinder mode lever otherwise known as ‘Fn2’.It seems daft to me, but – despite the daft way it’s peddled – I do like the idea of having a crop mode.

Whether you love Fujifilm's X-Trans mirrorless cameras, GFX medium format cameras, their other digital cameras and DSLRs, or Instax instant film cameras - this is the place for you! The first thing I figured out was that as much as it pained me, I didn’t need to know what everything does from day one.On my Sony cameras I find the ability to tap the screen to choose the area to focus really quite useful – so was quite excited to find this on the X100V. I did go through every single setting and change it to how I like to use the camera and I was so paranoid that I'd lose those settings at some point that I went through all the settings while recording the screen! From small shoulder bags to professional filters to camera straps and much more, there’s an accessory here for every X100V and X100 series camera owner.

The filter holder can be rotated by 360° so you can adjust the olarising filter strength and the position of the ND grad. Etsy’s 100% renewable electricity commitment includes the electricity used by the data centres that host Etsy. The first-gen A7 cameras were awful in terms of their button and menu layout, and the second-gen not much better either.Again, this is a level of customisation too far for me – I just don’t need any of these features for the way I use this camera. The Fuji X100V also has a JPEG crop mode that can be controlled with the focus dial, but this only works in JPEG only shooting modes, and I (at least for now) prefer to shoot in RAW. It is the nature of release mounts to be very shallow, this is because if they were made any deeper adding a soft release button could interfere with the cameras electronics.

I think I gained this view, or at least had it reinforced, through shooting professionally for a number of years with a Nikon D3. Also the risk of catching the button and generating forces the shutter button mechanism is not designed to compensate or withstand could be an issue.

The button does not do well with sheer forces, so if it is bumped from the side going in and out of a camera bag or caught on a neck strap it can weaken the connection to the camera. I’m going to kick off this section by saying that I feel quite strongly that if this camera didn’t include these dials, I wouldn’t miss them at all. although now I will be more aware of over-tightening should mine ever come loose---also use a dab of "invisible" band-aid which secures the release in place YET still allows me to easily remove the release from the body should I decide to sell the camera---btw---have used deCamera Consultant soft release on Leica and Fuji bodies and never had an issue.
