While Torch will always be near and dear to me, when Hasbro introduced the newest edition to the FurReal family, FurReal Roarin’ Tyler, The Playful Tiger pet, the baby cub roared his way right into my heart. Activating the touch sensors on the toy's back and forehead cause the toy to move its head, ears, eyes, tail, mouth, and front legs, in addition to making a variety of sounds. Activating the button inside the toy's mouth (either by inserting the included accessory or by using another similarly sized object) causes the toy to move its head and mouth and make growling noises. We have had most success when Dave has roared as the children can’t roar at the right level for the interactive tiger toy to respond. So when we were sent another toy from the Furreal Friends range, the FurReal Roarin’ Tyler, the Playful Tiger to review I wasn’t sure if it could match up to the high standards that Chatty Charlie had set!

A white tiger cub variant of the same toy was released under the name Roarin' Ivory the Playful Tiger. The Roarin’ Tyler, the Playful Tiger pet even has a little chicken toy that he reacts to when it squeaks.
