About this deal

When the darkest side of the internet begins to haunt her, Almond feels like she's going to lose everything.

What’s more, might the latest contract with VeGlow be the one that releases her so that she might have enough money to make her own choices?

Nobody really knows how this is affecting her as she has no one she can talk too until she goes finds what she needs in a therapy group. I knew that I would love "Influential" as I can see similarities between this and "The List" by Yomi Adegoke, which will be released later this Summer. And if they won't look for Jamie then Pip will, uncovering more of her town's dark secrets along the way. This book really flourished when it came to exploring these relationships, and reevaluating what a healthy relationship with the different people in your life, and yourself, looks like.

There are so many teens now who want to grow up to be influencers, and this is a fantastic look at the toxic side of that. Working in a school or even as a bookstagrammer we focus far too much on what looks good that we don’t see what is happening behind the photo. All this under the unforgiving spotlight of millions of netizens watching her every move and every post. In real life, Almond is struggling through her parents' divorce, and anxiety and depression, which manifests in excoriation, or skin-picking. Joss and Heather are the perfect supporters, and I feel like it's impossible not to love them ❤️ Also, Almond's parents or Imogen who sometimes didn't seem like good characters, were very interesting to read about as they kept on developing and in the end saw their mistakes.Along with her mother, she is a social media influencer and has had life documented on the internet since infancy. Before I head on to my review of this brilliant book I just wanted to update you on my MIA from the blog. I have even talked the head into a little revamp of the library so that we can display them properly!

This experience has been fantastic primarily for the children, the school and also for me (professionally). There was just the right amount of choice to suit everyone without being overwhelming and I received comments from parents and staff about the quality of books offered compared to previous sales which have always been based around current crazes and well known celebrity authors.Holly Bourne is a great advocate of young teens reading about difficult issues as a 'safe space' to consider and discuss those issues, this book does a great job in that sphere. million followers is all she knows and the longest conversation she has with her mum is about follower count and does this photo look okay for this campaign. Absolutely loved this book, and loosely related to Almond from the internal battles she had with herself. This is the first book published by Bath Spa author, Amara Sage, and it is an absolute cracker with a strong yet flawed relatable main character and a contemporary subject which will speak to the target YA audience.
