About this deal

This beautiful large-format poster book lets you put the world on your wall with the gorgeous images from Big Picture Press s bestselling Maps. The country pages are very detailed and all include the flag, capital city, the languages spoken, population, and area as well as a host of other illustrations about the country including the wildlife, food, buildings, famous people and many more. Não é um atlas completo, pois não contem todos os países, mas recomendo como livro introdutório para crianças.

As children, we both loved stumbling across a book too heavy to even lift, let alone open and read; a book full of facts and numbers; a book whose story you discovered through its ideas rather than its prose. As someone else mentioned it it a bit cluttered, however one of the biggest disappointments for me was Ireland barely being referenced. I like the way that the European section travels southwards from Iceland, which means that countries such as Croatia and Romania are given equal space alongside the perhaps more familiar France and Spain. My daughter is so happy with it, lots of friends and family have commented on how beautiful it is and the quality is amazing.

Much more than an ordinary atlas, this book of maps is a visual feast for readers of all ages, with lavishly drawn illustrations from the incomparable Mizielinskis.

The oversized coffee table book has double page spreads of each map, beginning with a world map then split into continents, with maps from a selection of countries from that continent behind the continent map.

Discover the joy of reading with us, your trusted source for affordable books that do not compromise on quality. Bursting with fascinating facts and puzzles from around the world, it offers hours of entertainment to young adventurers. Sure enough, it's a huge book that has little to no chance of ever fitting on a bookshelf and it is full of facts beautifully presented. This is an innovative approach to geography which will keep young and not so young, discoverers coming back again and again to pore over the quirky, delightful drawings. You can learn so much from this amazing book, about the famous places, geography, cultural ways, animals, food. The illustrations are fantastic and there is so much to see on each page, I especially like that every item is properly named whether it be a fish, fruit, tree or flower. The book of 52 brilliantly illustrated maps is a visual feast for readers of all ages, with lavishly meticulous drawings from Polish duo Aleksandra and Daniel Mizielinski. If you love BIG books and clear informative maps, then this is the book for you , and for your grandchildren! What makes Maps so special, aside from its fantastic and unique illustrations and fun and quirky facts, is the sheer atmosphere it creates and the feeling of discovery you get from turning its pages.
