The Actik is compact and lightweight at 88 grams, so the headband has been kept simple. The headband is comfortable, reasonably stable, adjustable, washable, and removable. Replacement bands are available for when it starts to look old and worn out.

The quality of this headlamp is no different from what you'd expect from Petzl, they have long offered some of the best headlamps on the market, and this model is no different. There’s just one button on top, so the function is simple and intuitive and because it's a good sized button you can operate it whilst wearing gloves.The headlamp is powered by either the core battery or 3 standard AAA batteries in a holder. As a result, the LED headlamp offers a lot of flexibility. The included core battery has a charging capacity of a decent 1250 mAh. According to Petzl, it can last up to 400 hours at the lowest light level. It also can charge it within 3 hours via a universal micro-USB port. Different Light Modes and Colours Petzl are a market-leader in lighting, and the TIKKA is the model that launched it all as the brand’s first LED headlamp some 20 years ago. The TIKKINA is arguably the TIKKA’s slightly simpler spin-off, with the ACTIK being the most feature-heavy and powerful of the trio. All three designs had a revamp in late 2022, with updates to their appearance and functions. The TIKKA, TIKKINA and ACTIK do share some common features, but they also have some key differences, and price tags to reflect those.
