Since apple cider vinegar is good for rebalancing and strengthening the hair, I recommend this shampoo for anyone with greasy hair that has become brittle. If you have dry hair and are starting the Curly Girl Method, this also might be a good shampoo for your final wash. The first thing I noticed was the cooling sensation on my scalp when I applied the Tea Tree Mint shampoo and conditioner. It’s great on a hot day or if you need to unwind. Even when I got out of the shower my scalp felt tingly and refreshed.Although I couldn’t find any scientific studies which showed that apple cider vinegar strengthened the the hair, I did find a study showing that shampoos with a lower pH level (like an apple cider vinegar shampoo) generate less negative static electricity on the hair. This means less frizz and dryness. This shampoo was the most refreshing and cooling shampoo I’ve ever tried! In the bottle it smells like mint chocolate chip but when you start massaging it into your hair the tea tree and witch hazel scents start to come through.
