About this deal

I only use imovie to edit and just want to film holidays, my children, family events etc is this any good for me?? Helicopters are an interesting problem because the usual "just use a tripod" simply doesn't apply. Handholding would probably give you a much more stable image than bolting the camera to the airframe. I wonder if some sort of small steadycam rig like a Merlin might work? They can be challenging to master but it seems to me like it could be the right tool for the job (short of one of those gyro-stabilized rigs...). I really don't know anything about this camera except for it's specs which I just looked up via Google. It appears to record interlaced SD video on MiniDV cassettes. That raises several questions in my mind:

navigator.userAgent.indexOf(' OPR/') >= 0; var isOpera = (!!window.opr && !!opr.addons) var isSafari = /constructor/i.test(window.HTMLElement)

So the big Canon is a ten year old door stopper, despite being an impressive bit of engineering. Video is such a throw away world!

Okay, so if your reading this your probably in the market for an upgrade from cameras like the XM2 XM1 and any little handy cams. This piece of kit is a little more hardcore than the xm2 which I have owned for about 3-4 years and recently sold to buy an XL1s. Approx. 5.5 lx (20x zoom XL 5.4-108mm L IS installed, auto mode, 60i frame rate, 4:3 aspect ratio, 1/60th second shutter) Two rotating heads, helical scan azimuth recording, DV System (Consumer digital VCR SD system) digital component recording Pity though. It's hard for a stills photographer to view such an impressive bit of kit as junk. No one would toss a 2003 model Hasselblad in the bin! The difference between old pro stills and old pro video, I'm guessing, is that old stills cameras were good, just a bit harder or more expensive to use. Although old digital stills cameras from 2003 are getting obsolete, I guess (think D100).

(function (p) { return p.toString() === "[object SafariRemoteNotification]"; })(!window['safari'] inlineWrapperID: typeof mcxPresetParam.inlineWrapperID === 'string' ? mcxPresetParam.inlineWrapperID : "mcxSurveyWrapper", Enjoy high quality performance, low cost prints and ultimate convenience with the PIXMA G series of refillable ink tank printers. Thanks Sean, appreciate your advice and time. I find any video a can of worms and don't want to complicate things unnecessarily.

The remote is about the size of space, xl1s remotes are often in trouble for creating solar eclipse's so bare that in mind if your going to take it out with you. probability: typeof mcxPresetParam.probability === 'number' ? mcxPresetParam.probability : 100, //0 - 100%Mini DV tapes seem readily available, and a read of Wiki on the subject suggests that quite a lot of commercial work is still recorded to tape. Maybe that's outdated info, given the speed of gear upgrading in the video industry! document.cookie = encodeURIComponent(sKey) + "=" + encodeURIComponent(sValue) + sExpires + "; path=/";
