Typhoon Lagoon is a tropical getaway filled with water rides the whole family can enjoy! It also features a kiddy play area and thrill rides for the older kids! A Walt Disney World Resort vacation is an amazing family experience. The most important thing is to plan a Disney vacation that works for YOUR family. Because after all, it's about spending time together. It’s also possible that Magic Kingdom will once again do a special event in Summer 2024. In fact, we’d expect this to occur, with new entertainment debuting and smaller scale additions. Walt Disney World’s big new attraction (Tiana’s Bayou Adventure) won’t be ready in time for Memorial Day, so they’ll need something else to market in the first half of 2024. Hopefully you get the point here–that every day at Walt Disney World has the potential to be great, but also, that greatness has its own sliding scale, with weather, seasonal enhancements, and more cranking things up to the next level of magicalness. Magic Kingdom — This is the original Disney World park. Magic Kingdom opened in 1971 and was modeled largely after Disneyland in California. Here is where you’ll find Cinderella Castle (note that it is Cinderella without the possessive!) and some of the most classic rides. This is usually the main park everyone thinks of when they think of Disney World.
You DEFINITELY need to be flexible if you have toddlers or younger kids with you, as you never know when the Disney magic will fizzle out, and a break from all of the walking is what they need. The first two variables are the overriding factors and, thankfully, those are objective. That takes into account Orlando area school schedules, conventions, youth sporting events, park hours, special events, and more to provide you with specific dates that are the least and most crowded. This also means that if you are part of a points rewards program, you can use your points at these hotels! Off-Property AccommodationsThis is another addition that is coming to EPCOT. It is expected to be exciting and thrilling but also family-friendly. Character Meet & Greets — These are where you will wait in line to chat with and a photo with a character. Some of these are major park attractions (like Fairytale Hall in Magic Kingdom), while others are smaller lines in little corners of the park (like seeing Alice in the United Kingdom pavilion in Epcot). The My Disney Experience app will show you where and when you can see characters.
For our family, the Disney Dining Plan becomes more expensive because we don't use it all. But for many families, it is a great option because it is very convenient and they use it all, so it makes it a value add. Just be sure and think through if it makes sense for your family. What can a MagicBand do?
Disney is not just for kids! Especially Downtown Disney, which was built more with the adult in mind. You can shop and enjoy Dinner, then grab drinks on the water. Test results speak in favour of the soother too: 100% of the orthodontists asked confirm that the NUK Soother does not cause crooked teeth or jaw misalignment**, 95% of the babies accept the NUK Soother*, 90% of the mothers recommend it to others* and 92% of the breastfeeding mothers confirm that the NUK Soother does not affect breastfeeding*. Disney's Minnie Van ride-share service is available for a fee if you need private transportation on property. Plan your meals, and if you choose the Disney Dining Plan, choose the one that you will use and will provide your family the most value. Even if a summer-time event doesn’t happen, Pride is celebrated in June, and there are other smaller-scale events throughout the year. It’s also likely more After Hours parties will occur in Summer 2024.
Some or all of these changes might seem insignificant if you’re a first-timer, and it’s true that they may have little bearing on your vacation. But they’re a big deal for a lot of Walt Disney World diehards, and if you’re visiting after January 9, you may not even realize how much friction has been removed from your trip. There are a lot of Disney properties around the world, and you want to get to the right one, right? So, let's clarify this. Insulated Water Bottle– It gets HOT at Disney. Even in the winter you are dealing with the sun, the wind and way too much walking. Animal Kingdom also doesn’t do straws or lids- so you need a water bottle to prevent spillage. Most people usually confuse it with the Genie+, but these are 2 different services, and the Lighting Lane add-ons are not included in the Genie+. Other times, we aren't in the mood for rushing, so we just take breaks, enjoy long meals, and enjoy the magic as we go. Be Flexible: The Iconic Cinderella Castle and Main Street U.S.A. are just two of the notable landmarks at Magic Kingdom. This is the Number One Park at Disney World and at full capacity can take a visitor almost 20 hours to complete it.
Staying at a Deluxe Resort is similar to the name, its where Disney goes above and beyond! These rooms tend to be a little bigger than most other rooms on the grounds, and they have more amenities.
All NUK Soothers have the NUK Air System which allows air to escape out of the baglet through a vent. This means it stays nicely soft and pliable and relieves the jaw. My favorite part about staying at the Deluxe resorts is how much closer they are to the parks, and transportation also seems to move a lot faster from these resorts (maybe its in my head… but I do feel that way!). We tend to save the Deluxe Resorts for special occasions, like honeymoons, but we’ve taken the kids before and their were lots of other kids there too!
