That's true of some but not all Samyang lenses (some are for smaller formats, but none I think exclusively for m43) The Sigma Art lenses, 19mm, 30mm and 60mm. All good, 30mm and 60mm excellent. I have the 19mm and 30mm for E mount, and the 60mm for M4/3. Why, well the crop factor math is just more useful for the 19mm and 30mm on APSc Sony E mount, I have 17mm f1.8 very much better. But the 60mm is like a 120mm on M4/3 just right for many shoots, and I have the 45mm f1.8 which is a 90mm portrait length.

This Metabones Adapter allows attachment of any Nikon F DSLR lens (e.g. AF, AF-S and G type) to Micro Four Thirds (MFT) compact system camera bodies, such as the Panasonic GH4 and Olympus OM-D E-M5. The Metabones adapters are made of brass, precision-machined and plated with chromium plating on both the camera-side and lens-side to ensure smooth mounting, durability and a sophisticated, high-quality finish. Please note: you will not retain auto functions such as metering and autofocus (AF). Precise fit and solid connection - lens has no play, gap or wiggling when mounted on adapter and no adjustments are required to fit your lens. Had they designed the lens for NEX first, they would have to redesign all the elements to make it compatible with MFT. Illumination data assumes a perfect master lens with an exit pupil distance of 100mm and zero vignetting. The slight falloff shown at f/2.8 is due to cos 4 effects alone, as the mechanical vignetting is zero. Actual results will depend on the exit pupil distance and vignetting characteristics of the master lens used.

Focus-By-Wire' lenses (such as Canon's STM or Nikons AF-P) requires power to engage the manual focus rings on the lens, since manual lens mount adapters do not power the lens, those lenses will not be able to focus. Note:• • Due to variations in their lens mount design, Vazen brand lenses have been found to fit too loosely on this adapter. Figure 7: Measured MTF of a 55mm Zeiss Otus without (left) and with (right) Speed Booster ULTRA m43 at f/1.4 and f/1.0, respectively at 10 lp/mm and 30 lp/mm. If you want a wide lens that gathers more light, you need to look at fixed-focal length choices. Most wide primes for the system are manual focus. Samyang and Venus Laowa aren't household names but cover a space where OM System and Panasonic don't play.Like the revolutionary original Metabones Speed Booster ® announced in January 2013, the Speed Booster ULTRA m43 has a magnification of 0.71x, and so it effectively reduces the crop factor of mirrorless Micro Four Thirds mount cameras from 2.0x to 1.4x. However, the new ULTRA design makes very effective use of exotic materials at the furthest limit of glassmaking technology, and as a result is almost perfectly corrected for use with all fullframe SLR lenses regardless of aperture. The Speed Booster ULTRA m43 will also work extremely well with many DX and APS-C format lenses provided the image circle of the lens is large enough. Optical performance of the new Speed Boosters is so good that the MTF of any lens attached to it will be improved. Even the latest generation of ultra-high performance SLR lenses such as the Zeiss Otus series can be improved by adding a Speed Booster ULTRA m43. The Urth online gallery ( Gallery) is an online space where artists ( Artists) offer for sale artworks ( Works) to collectors, users and members of the public ( you). reverse engineering, circumventing, damaging, disassembling, attempting to discover the source code; or To test the adapters, Chris uses the Sony A7RIII, Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II and Panasonic G9. And the adapters are all designed to work with Nikon or Canon full frame lenses. 85mm lenses are used for each test as the shallow depth of field makes it easy to spot focus issues. Each camera is also tested with a native lens for a benchmark comparison. New in Speed Booster XL for Canon EF Mount to Micro Four Thirds is autofocus support, subject to certain limitations (see table above for details). We are pleased to report that Panasonic Micro Four Thirds camera bodies are capable of autofocusing accurately even if the maximum aperture of the Speed Booster and the lens combined is in the sub-f/1.0 range. Although our first and foremost priority is accuracy, we are able to make great strides in autofocus speed as well.
