We love it because its lightweight hydration provided enough moisture to the dry parts of our face while also lightly hydrating the more oily parts without wreaking havoc. The night cream also moonlights as an impressive anti-aging cream because it has light exfoliation to promote better cellular turnover and it’s formulated with amino peptides for collagen production support and niacinamide for a balanced moisture barrier. Note that while this cream is listed as fragrance-free, we noticed a slightly fresh and clean scent. What We Love: This feels, smells, and performs exactly how you’d imagine a luxurious, high-quality night cream would. With tried-and-true, soothing ingredients like Colloidal Oatmeal, Oat Kernel Extract, Shea Butter,Feverfew Extract, even honey at active levels, First Aid Beauty is the best facial skincare for sensitive skin types. Just as important as what’s in the FAB formulas is what’s not. Nary a drop of denatured alcohol, fragrance or fragrant plant oils.

When we first started to use the night cream, our skin was dotted with hormonal acne, blemishes and hyperpigmentation. It looked dry, dull, and ruddy, and we weren’t really expecting miracles. Our first impression was its body butter-type consistency, which made us hopeful that it wouldn’t wear off over time, but really go to work overnight instead. Due to its dense texture, it did take some extra effort to massage into our skin, but once it did, it felt like heaven. If we had a breakout or were extra dry, our skin felt tingly when applying the cream; it didn’t cause any redness or irritation, it just made us think that the active ingredients were getting to work. We were surprised to see our blemishes clear up and our hyperpigmentation fade. Every night we used this product, we felt confident that we’d wake up the next day with healthier-looking skin. What We Love: The combination of hyaluronic acid, olive extract, and pro-vitamin complex results in a moisturizing formula that doesn’t feel heavy.

Speaking of alternatives, this night cream also features bakuchiol, which is a retinol alternative that is much more gentle on the skin and doesn’t cause sun sensitivity. According to research, bakuchiol is just as effective as retinol at anti-aging benefits, including brightening the complexion.To maintain hygiene, we wish this product — which comes in a jar — was available in a pump-type dispenser, but that may not be everyone's preference. Also, I find the textures to be slightly different. The Ultra Firming Collagen Cream is just a tad more lightweight than Ultra Repair, which makes it especially great to apply in the morning, since it sits nicely under makeup. I’m also including one of my favorite eye creams, the Skinfix Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Boost 360° Eye Cream. It’s one which I think every skin type can and will benefit from. However, I think what First Aid Beauty did with the launch of the Firming Collagen Cream is pretty genius. So… What is It? Peace Out’s Repairing Moisturizer is formulated specifically for oily and blemish prone skin year-round, but I found it worked great on my own skin throughout much of the year and I’ve been eager to share it. Peptides: they can help stimulate your skin to produce more collagen, which ultimately helps give the appearance of smoother skin and fewer fine lines and wrinkles

While the night cream diminished some of our dry patches, it didn’t completely mitigate the issue. Our extra flakey areas were still rather dry, but the cream overall helped improve our moisture retention, and we’re confident that with more time our skin will be in the best condition.
