About this deal

The 240-watt speakers offer excellent audio quality without the need to take up space with a subwoofer, ensuring you'll be able to hear (and often feel) every rumble, musical cue, and crash of sound. Most of the audio elements can be adjusted with Logitech's sound software, so you can create a profile that's a perfect fit for your games or enable sound-enhancing modes. The DTS:X surround sound format is supported for PCs as well! Creative Technology is no stranger to desktop audio. The company began producing audio-related products in the 1980s, with Sound Blaster and X-Fi now common household brands. Creative introduced the GigaWorks T40 Series II in 2008, but its high quality and high performance continue to make this set one of the best desktop sound systems you can buy today. What was not satisfying was the unusually short 4ft cables, which limit how you can set them up. However, being able to lay the speakers vertically or horizontally is a nice touch. The sound achieved surprisingly balanced audio for a speaker set asking for this much cash—a strong yes for anyone looking to upgrade their current dinky desktop speakers.

The Sound Blaster Katana V2 is a significant upgrade from last year's model with a sleeker look and, more importantly, better-sounding tweeters and subwoofer. They're well placed to face your ears while gaming at a desk and pretty powerful. First the audio quality: as an all-in-one soundbar, there can be an immediate thought and worry that there just won't be any bass. However, bass is not lost here. I haven't ever felt that a subwoofer was necessary, and have enjoyed fulsome, rich audio blasting into my face no matter the media. It really is that good. You can mess with different EQ presets in G Hub and I found those to be beneficial when switching between movies, games and albums. It should be noted that after I fixed the volume issues, this system can now get very loud. Cranking these speakers up to maximum insanity can literally shake the house, so if you end up grabbing a set, use them with care and a healthy bit of restraint. Small gripes aside though, the V2 is a great upgrade and next evolution in the Leviathan line and should be at the forefront for anyone looking for a soundbar solution on their desk. A shoo-in for our best computer speakers guide - though not the cheapest. Overall, I was unhappy with the initial volume issues, but once those were resolved, I came to seriously enjoy the G560. The bass is booming, the RGB is tasteful and there’s a decent amount of customizability through G Hub. I’m sure you could find comparable studio speakers that run circles around Logitech’s offering — drivers with much clearer sound — but what’s here interfaces well with games and looks nice while doing it.

The Logitech G560 is a 2.1 PC speaker set with RGB lighting. It features the company’s new Lightsync technology, which changes the colour of the light to reflect what’s going on in your game, or to match what’s on your monitor. Yes! Soundbars can absolutely be worth it for your PC setup and even offer up some of the best computer speakers given their design, and pedigree. You'll find two gaming soundbars in our guide, both from Razer (until we see some more), and they are perfect options for PC. Providing compact desk-top designs, the audio in these soundbars is excellent and while different from traditional speakers in terms of the direction the audio is presented, can be rich, detailed, and provide excellent immersive experiences. What should I look for when buying computer speakers? But there’s more than just user-created profiles. When you scan your computer for games (via the Logitech software), any that have a pre-existing profile are automatically added. Some of these games – including Battlefield 1, Dota 2, GTA5, and Counterstrike: GO – are further integrated by using Logitech’s LIGHTSYNC technology. This adds a custom lighting response to what is happening in your game. The two different lighting zones will react and enhance explosions, when you take damage or are healed, and whatever other effects the game’s designers have chosen to add. Even Discord is integrated with lights reacting to when you or someone else is talking or you receive any notifications and mentions. Another feature you won't find in other entries on the list is that this Bluetooth speaker has a built-in mic for voice chat. Between work calls and Discord chatting, my voice was clear and sounded good. If you're someone who hates wearing headsets all day, it's a nice feature. title=More%20Expert%20Tech%20Roundups&type=articles%2Cvideos&tags=tech-roundup&count=6&columnCount=6&theme=article

Logitech's software allows you to choose between two control modes for the speakers. Hardware control ditches the software and uses Bluetooth or AUX input for lighting. You get a gentle rainbow color cycle that acts as an audio visualizer, which flashes and brightens to the music's beat. The software control allows you to choose between fixed color, color cycle, breathing, audio visualizer, and screen sampler lighting modes. Why you should buy it: It's the best combination of audio and RGB style that gamers could hope for. If you're on the lookout for premium speakers then the Razer Nommo Pro system is perfect. It is premium in every way, from build quality to design, and from audio quality to (inevitably) price. However, the quality speaks - and sounds - for itself here. When you're out shopping for PC speakers on a budget, it's easy to be overwhelmed by choice. It doesn't help that reliable brands have multiple options in the same price range. The low-end differences can be minimal, but the Creative Pebble Plus speakers stand apart from the competition with their big sound despite the compact size.
