About this deal

QUATTRO) 55 x 79″ Very large Italian poster printed in two pieces, often contains very beautiful artwork. FRENCH Posters Kevin Thomas (1 November 1991). "MOVIE REVIEW: Action-Fantasy 'Highlander 2' Tries to Sort It All Out". Los Angeles Times. Ryan, Judge (27 August 2004). "Highlander 2: Special Edition". Dvdverdict.com. Archived from the original on 6 March 2012 . Retrieved 31 January 2012. On top of an unconvincing lead, Highlander has a number of plot holes through which we must navigate. Listing or criticising plot holes is always much less interesting than discussing a film's themes, intentions or ideas. But the fantasy genre relies on creating believable, enveloping worlds for an audience, which depending on the filmmakers' intentions either hold up on their own or draw intriguing parallels with our own world. Some discrepancies can be overlooked if the basic mechanics are intact, but Highlander's mythology isn't entirely sound.

An average poster with overall fresh color. May have tears, minor paper loss, minor hazing. Paper may be brittle due to age, may have minor stains. May have a small amount of writing in an unobtrusive place. May have medium or major restoration. x 81″ printed on paper. These were printed on two or three separate sheets designed to overlap, few survive. Used for larger advertising spaces, normally posted on walls, perfect for huge movie theatres the drive-in, where people could see them from a distance. From the 1970’s on, three-sheets were sometimes printed in one piece and issued as “international” versions to be used abroad. BRITISH Posters I love Highlander. Always have. Always will. It will always be a disappointment to me none of the sequels or the TV Shows lived up to the potential this universe offered.Like many cult films, Highlander never really gets to grips with what is or could be a really promising central idea. The idea of a secret conflict between immortals that has lasted for centuries has enormous potential, either as a straight-up fantasy or a fish-out-of-water story for the Brenda character who stumbles upon Connor's secret. And that's before we discover the nature of the Prize, which has great moral and spiritual ramifications for the human race and the champion who ultimately possesses it. Despite this longer version running in UK theatres, all home video releases in the country to date have been of the shorter 91-minute US Theatrical Release (running 86 minutes due to PAL speedup). This includes the rental VHS (EVV 1203), retail VHS (EVS 1072), laserdisc (PLFEB 37011), and DVD (EDV 9119). This version was released many times in the US, including on VHS, laserdisc, and Video8. All DVD and Blu-Ray releases of the film in the United States have been of the longer "Renegade" and "Special Edition" versions. As a small boy stealing priceless trashy VHS moments when mum and dad weren’t looking in the late 80s, this was the good stuff: violent, bombastic and fuelled by a scattershot approach to internal plausibility. The movie may not have had a shred of logic, but it had everything else.

Murphy, Sean. "Highlander II: Three Versions Of A Film In Search Of Its Identity By Sean Murphy". Figmentfly.com . Retrieved 13 October 2016. x 26″ Glossy, high quality, used as lobby cards in Italy. Size may vary, either vertical or horizontal format. There are also double Photobusta or mini Photobusta. The acting is generally pretty good, with most of the principal cast delivering a good performance. Clancy Brown is very good as the Kurgan, foreshadowing his equally villainous performance as Byron Hadley in The Shawshank Redemption. The make-up effects and costume work are very impressive, but it's Brown's sleazy demeanour and creepy delivery that really make the character stand out. Sean Connery looks the part as Ramirez, lending a lot of charm to the story, and Roxanne Heart does the best she can with an underwritten role. The one weak link is Christopher Lambert, who is essentially a pretty boy: his line deliveries are flat and he has very limited facial expressions. He fought his first battle on the Scottish Highlands in 1536. He will fight his greatest battle on the streets of New York City in 1986. His name is Connor MacLeod. He is immortal.” a b c Cinema Slap Fight: Sex And The City 2 Vs. Highlander II, by Pete Vonder Haar 21-09-2011, Houston Press Slezak, Michael (18 September 2005). "Live from EW's Emmy party". EW.com.
