Overwhelming sound. Too much power can be overwhelming for those recording in smaller spaces. This is a common complaint and may be a sign the Hs8 isn’t for you. Yamaha HS8 nearfields are wonderful monitors and I also like the fact "No Front-Face Ported Bass extension" which "Always Influences" Frequencies!!! and in how you perceive sound! In an expertly built High-end Studio Sound Stage, quality will follow but for the home studio (funny to call it "home studio" after spending over 100k) The HS8's are worth every penny.
