When it did reach me I was quite confused about how to use it in my skincare routine! Totally got waylaid by the name because it is less like a lotion and more like a very thin lightweight liquid; so I wondered whether is it a toner, or an essence or something that I am unaware of and to make things more challenging the bottle has literally no english on it!

HYALURONIC ACID

Very liquid in texture, it’s more suitable for combination skins. It contains 4 different types of hyaluronic acid. This lotion is like a treatment product, and its main purpose is to deeply moisturize the skin, thanks to its high concentration of hyaluronic acid. Hada Labo Moisturizing Cleansing Oil is designed to deep clean and gently remove dirt, excessive oil, heavy makeup, and even waterproof mascara. The formula is water-soluble and does not leave an unpleasant greasy feeling behind. One of the key ingredients in this cleansing oil is high purity Olea Europaea (olive) fruit oil. Olive oil contains several types of fatty acids, such as oleic, palmitic, and linoleic acid, as well as phenolic compounds that provide antioxidant benefit. Another type of oil in this product is Simmondsia Chinensis (jojoba) seed oil, which is mostly comprised of long-chain fatty acid esters (97%), but also contains small amounts of vitamins, minerals, triglycerides, phospholipids, and tocopherols. Jojoba oil improves the skin’s barrier function, helps to prevent transepidermal water loss, and provides anti-inflammatory effects. Since oil absorbs oil, both olive oil and jojoba oil can effectively remove dirt, oil, and makeup from the skin, leaving it clean.

I also appreciate that it helped my skin stay hydrated throughout the day and even refined my skin texture after regular use. Despite it being formulated for dry and normal skin, I didn’t experience any negative side effects from using the product.As I mentioned earlier, don’t be fooled by the term “lotion”, because Hada Labo Lotion is more like an essence, a kind of liquid moisturizing treatment with a slightly viscous texture.
