About this deal

In reality, I read these issues as the first 3 collections of the comic, but as I read them all together I want to keep them together in 1 entry. Banner didn’t die, but something changed in him. He became the Jekyll/Hyde of the Marvel Universe, two “men” in one body, transforming from the mild-mannered bespectacled physicist into the gray-skinned monster named “the Hulk” when he loses control. Part of it is also the art. It’s a beautifully done style, just not really for me. It also goes to the character design in general. Hulk has never been a visually interesting character to me. Horror has a name. You'd never notice the man. He doesn't like to be noticed. He's quiet. Calm. If someone were to shoot him in the head... all he'd do is die. Until night falls and someone else gets up again. The man's name is Banner. The horror is the Immortal Hulk. And trouble has a way of following them both. As Bruce Banner struggles to control the undying monster within, he finds himself hunted by his old friends and allies. But there are more sinister forces at work.

Fin Fang Foom (2007) #1, Marvel Adventures Hulk (2007) #13-16, Incredible Hulk: Last Call (2019) #1, Symbiote Spider-Man: Crossroads (2021) #1-5, New Fantastic Four (2022) #1-5; Material From Giant-Size Hulk (2006) #1, World War Hulk Prologue: World Breaker (2007) #1, Hulk Monster-Size Special (2008) #1 & Breaking Into Comics The Marvel Way (2010) #2. Not in omni, see also Hulk: Joe Fixit. Collects Incredible Hulk #407–419, Annual #20, Ashcan Edition, Incredible Hulk: Future Imperfect #1–2 and material from Marvel Holiday Special #3. The Peter David era was so massive, Marvel had to relaunch the Hulk series once it ended. It was technically The Incredible Hulk vol. 2, but vol. 3 didn’t start immediately. First, there was Hulk Reborn for a year (11 issues), then it was renamed The Incredible Hulk vol. 3. I didn't read Western comics as a child and I don't like superhero movies now. In that regard I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed these comics -- that is, at all. The art is quite good, especially the saturated color and storyboard-style panel framing. The frequent off-modeling is excusable as it's a body horror story. Collects Incredible Hulk vol.3 #1-7, material from Fear Itself #7. Also collected in Incredible Hulk by Jason Aaron: The Complete Collection. The Devil Hulk is an alternate personality of Bruce Banner, personifying all of Bruce's resentment at the way he is treated by the world, and all his negative emotions such as self-hatred. The Devil Hulk is also one of the Hulk's enemies, constantly threatening to escape the confines of Bruce's mind and destroy the world that has tormented and abused them. [1] While the character's physical appearance varies, he is always depicted as having glowing red eyes and reptilian traits. Collects Incredible Hulk #436–448; Savage Hulk #1; Cutting Edge #1; Cable #34; Onslaught: Marvel Universe Coming away from this book, I find the most brilliant part of Ewing's concept to be how it re-frames the Hulk overall-- resolving that tension I always felt when trying to classify the character. Is he a hero? Or is he a monster? The answer is as unsettling as it is obvious: During the Chaos War story line, Brian Banner is released from Hell and becomes a hybrid of the Guilt Hulk and the Devil Hulk. [6] As the Immortal Hulk [ edit ] Gary Frank immortalizes the climactic moment of the “Hulk in Hell” arc where Devil Hulk lets Bruce know he’ll always protect him from IMMORTAL HULK #13

Collects Incredible Hulk #397–406, Annual #18–19, and material from Namor the Sub-Mariner Annual #2, Silver Surfer Annual #5, Doctor Strange, Sorcerer Supreme Annual #2, and Marvel Holiday Special #2 Ewing knows how to piece together a good story. I love the horror elements scattered throughout as well. Body horror works particularly well in comic form. Collects The Incredible Hulk vol. 3, #92–105; Giant-Size Hulk #1; Amazing Fantasy vol. 2, #150. Also collected with a lot more tie-ins in Planet Hulk Omnibus. The Devil Hulk appears as a boss in The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction voiced by Richard Moll. He attempts to gain control of Bruce Banner's body, claiming to be a natural stage in the gamma evolution process. With Doc Samson's help, Banner constructs a machine that allows him to enter his own mind and defeat the Devil Hulk.

My mom would watch X-Files with me and often commented on how pretty Scully was. Being raised mostly by my mom, this is the closest I came to bro-ing down with a parent over a hot babe, which is something I assume dads and sons do, sort of, at some point, but maybe not. Smashing Alert! The Chaos War Event is a follow-up to Grep Pak and Fred Van Lente’s Incredible Hercules series. When the King of Chaos unleashes Hell on Earth, Dr. Strange calls on the strongest team there is to save life itself. No wonder so many writers attempt to deliver a “definitive” take. Something which cuts through all the history to state, “This is what’s REALLY going on.” Until of course the next ambitious writer turns up and goes, “Yeah but no, THIS is what’s really going on.” Collects Incredible Hulk #1–6; Fantastic Four #12, 25–26; Avengers #1–3, 5; Amazing Spider-Man #14; Tales to Astonish #59; Journey into Mystery #112.

Success!

Collects The Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #328, 331–368, Web of Spider-Man #44, Fantastic Four #320, material from Marvel Comics Presents #26, 45
