Marcopolo presents the five base colours of the product (silver, gold, aluminium, bronze and copper) beside Sable, a matt ‘argento’ base. Products applied on a larger areas might slightly differ from the samples presented, due to the fact that samples are limited by size and that the application method (the tools, skills and approach of the applicator) can significantly affect the final look. A: Colours are accurate and repeatable, but eventually, the product’s iridescence changes the observer’s perception of the colour. Marcopolo Luxury is a unique and elegant special textured paint for interiors that can create features with soft, reflective iridescence. The Marcopolo luxury (sometimes called Marco Polo paint or San Marco Polo) paint is similar to plasters in a sense that it creates a feeling of depth, but is due to the fact that it’s a paint that can be much easier to apply and can provide a variety of looks, based on the application tools. A Genoese-Venetian peace treaty in 1299 allowed Marco Polo to return home. He probably never left Venetian territory again. The following year, he married Donata Badoer, with whom he would have three daughters. Not much is known about his golden years except that he continued trading and litigated against a cousin. Marco Polo died in January 1324, having helped to inspire a later generation of explorers. Everything we know about him comes from his own text and a few Venetian documents; Asian sources never mentioned him.

Marcopolo is not only easy to apply, but you can create a variety of 3D effects, similar to stones or prestigious (metallic) wall papers. As the finish dries very fast you should make sure to create the effect a few minutes after putting the paint on the wall, one square metre at a time.
