About this deal

Initially I was still a fan of Swiss Arabian, then they were cheaper and have now risen in price, but what there Lattafa and now also Armaf deliver, which blows me away really, in the positive sense. By no means you get a bad fragrance here, but for me he smells pretty 0-8-15 and strongly synthetic. Unfortunately, I do not like that. Nevertheless, I got compliments and he comes with other people well. Stronger With You similarities that many note, I can not really perceive. To some extent, yes, but not much. I had and have also more expensive originals and I find that fragrances can be similar, but are never exactly the same. In my opinion, the fragrance is mainly fruity-sweet. I can not recognize what kind of fruit it should be, but you can feel these fruity impressions.

It’s crisp, fresh, and citrusy with notes of lemon, bergamot, mandarin orange, lime, and grapefruit. If I were to liken it to anything you may have tried before, it’s similar to Aqua Gio by Giorgio Armani. Blue Homme is the perfumer’s warm-weather fragrance that costs considerably less than a flight to The Bahamas. Well, the Auftrakt is fresh and slightly citric...a few moments later, the first impression is gone and now surrounds me a gefplegter woody fragrance. Tres Nuit: Lemon verbena and lavender with ambergris is an amazing combination. The lavender would be too soft and cloying on its own but paired with the lemon verbena, both balance each other out amazingly. Imagine a lemon tea with florals and musk, it's great. In the further course of the fragrance does not do much. The course is quite linear. The only thing I had noticed is that it becomes a bit woodier and the fruity components recede slightly.

Like all fragrances, Armaf’s colognes are available in two different types of concentrations. There’s Eau De Parfum (EDP) and Eau De Toilette (EDT). EDP is richer and longer lasting, while EDT is lighter and fresher—making it perfect for hot weather. In the opening Odyssey has me unfortunately only times rather disappointed, has really nothing to do with DHI and VUI ... rather so Spicebomb Extreme without top notes ... in a shallower way, rather unspecific and not very tingling.

If someone is looking for a woody and fresh fragrance, he will certainly find here for little money. Armaf’s colognes are available in a variety of scents. Which one you choose will be determined by the smells you enjoy and when you plan to wear it. Hunter: A fantastic mix of grapefruit and rosemary, with subtle florals underneath. It's sweet and sour and I'd liken the opening to US Smarties candy, but with a lot more depth thanks to the rosemary. The cardamom gives it a commonality with YSL LNDH. This one's great because it's sharp and arguably sporty thanks to the citrus but the rosemary makes it more deeper and richer and the florals make it softer and not just like a sport fragrance. I will soon certainly test out more candidates of these providers and I personally find this Dupe hin...und Dupe her...simply silly. Citrusy fragrances are often better suited to the summer months, while those with musky notes are more suitable for fall. Take some time to work out which one would make the best investment. Price

The Odyssey Homme White Edition is virtually a dupe of the Emporio Armani - Stronger With You but with somewhat inferior quality. However, this is not really bad and also gets better in the course. It has a slightly stronger alcohol note in my eyes or nose, but as I said, it gets better with time. After that, it is virtually 1:1 the SWY.

The white bottle in hand...ok there are certainly better, I notice that you can remove the whole upper part.

The fragrance smells for me, by the way, like a briefly dipped in Nutella Invictus Aqua (2018) no matter whether we are now talking about the Emporio Armani - Stronger With You or Odyssey Homme White Edition (are, after all, almost identical). Ventana: The mandarin orange fails to balance out the lavender and the combination ends up smelling like laundry detergent. It's not offensive but it's not good either, just a bit cloying.

Average performance. It lasts about 4 hours on my skin. What's decisively different from VUI or DHI is that it doesn't work well in cold weather, so it feels like weird plastic vanilla. Especially true at temperatures down to subzero Celsius. I recommend wearing only indoors in winter. It's not something we don't understand given that the producing country of it is a very hot country. In the drydown, however, I feel the fragrance like a rather distinct anecdote to Tom Ford Noir Extreme, relatively authentic even. I find it interesting, by the way, that here more often the comparison is made with Invictus and this is explained as a difference to the SWY. The SWY smells namely at the beginning (so in the opening) also briefly after Invictus!!! In the Odyssey Homme White Edition this Invictus-like top note merely lasts much longer and therefore already mixes with the heart note.... Only after about 30-60 lets this mixing A Valentino Uomo Intense clone. Particularly similar vibe like orange chocolate. But VUI's awesome leather scent isn't here. Odyssey has a fluffy iris powder instead. This point is quite a bit similar to Dior Homme Intense, but the beautiful cedar scent of DHI isn't here. Odyssey is a sweet comfortable ambery chocolate, and I can detect cinnamon-like something, which is not in VUI or DHI. So you get for the approx 25€ a somewhat inferior Stronger with you with the fresh top note plays significantly longer than the original. I personally find that even good / better! Also, I find the performance, so H/S better. The sweetness is still pleasant and does not slay you directly. I have in any case the impression that it is an "ambrierte" sweetness. Blue Homme: This is a kitchen-sink blue fragrance with just a bunch of notes - 5 different types of citrus, 3 florals, nutmeg, patchouli, amber, it's got it all. This one has its bets hedged in all different directions across so many notes so while it's not bad in any way, it's not good in any way either. Extremely generic. Oja, woody amber and gujak and something fresh now dominates the fragrance and the whole thing holds quite long. Club de Nuit Intense Man: This is the most famous Armaf fragrance and while I still maintain that it's overrated, I have figured out how to appreciate its good side. The key is approaching this as a birch-first fragrance and letting the pineapple and other notes accentuate the birch. And the birch is respectably good and interesting but the overall result is only average.
