That’s a classic combo I don’t see as much nowadays. I know a lot of people jumped ship to the XF 35mm f2. Personally, I’m still a fan of the XF 35mm f1.4, and I still stand behind every word I said about it :). As for the X-Pro1, to me, there’s still something about the color of the first gen sensor that I like over the current ones. I miss mine :). For sure, the Leather Capri is not a bag for all occasions. For many occasions? Yes. But for mountain climbing with Jimmy Chin? Probably not... :) With all that said, all of our bags are designed for durability and have been put through the paces by many a pro. The Bowery can hold a lot of kit for such a small bag. The leather version is a good bit heavier than the canvas one and as I said earlier, the purpose of this bag for me is to travel lighter on a day to day basis when I don't have a shoot that requires larger lenses. But I can basically get all of the following into the Bowery. I don't always need this amount of gear, but it's good to have the option. The trimming on the bag is subtle, but so well done that sometimes I just admire it. I’m trying not to exaggerate, but it really is well trimmed.

For me, a bag of this price can only justify its cost if I'm going to get a lot of use out of it and it solves a problem for me. The ONA Capri did both in the time I spent testing it. In fact, on a few occasions I carried it around without a camera inside it at all. It's lovely as a purse and works marvelously as a bag for a smaller camera system. With a really small system, like the E-M10 or GM5, it goes above and beyond the call of duty. I can even fit my water bottle in and not worry about it mingling with the camera gear.

Previously

The Bowery is made with soft, supple Italian leather that’s easily marked, but in this case that’s a positive, not a negative. The clasp. I am so used to velcro and zippers, that the metal clasp is a refreshing change. It’s silent to use, secures well, and is just all around better to interact with.

The canvas is meant to patina, and comes a bit distressed (I don’t think purposefully). Since owning it the distress keeps coming, and I love every new mark that shows up on it, but one could wax the canvas if bothered.
