On the day of the update, your radio device will lose connection to all its stored internet radio stations. This will be indicated via an error message on the screen and a voice prompt asking you to power cycle the device. To allow a clean set-up of the update and the switch-over to Frontier Silicon Nuvola you will need to perform a factory reset after the power cycle. Spotify Connect* gives you instant access to millions of songs on your Evoke C-F6, using the Spotify app on your mobile or tablet to directly connect and control your music wirelessly. Built-in Bluetooth lets you choose your favourite music and send it wirelessly direct from your mobile or tablet. This radio has a different shape to the D2; you could say it is landscape rather than portrait shaped. Like the Evoke D2, it comes in either a walnut or oak veneer casing, which helps give it a balanced and natural sound. Features Connectivity is a strong suit of the Evoke C-F6, boasting both Wi-Fi and Ethernet LAN capabilities. It adheres to Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11a, 802.11b, and 802.11g, providing seamless wireless connections. Additionally, Bluetooth functionality is included, allowing for easy pairing with compatible devices. The USP here is IPX7 waterproofing, which makes this a particularly good option for travelling or for poolside listening: where many portable speakers are splash-proof, the Tuner 2 is much more protected against accidental drops and deluges.Perfect by the sink, by a pool, at the beach, or if it's in danger of getting hosed while you're watering the garden. If you’re not happy with the default sound you can select one of the EQ presets or adjust the levels to your liking. The volume levels can be different for different sources, so if you’re listening using the Spotify Connect app on your phone and then switch to FM radio, it might be a lot louder or quieter depending on the settings you had on your phone. Connectivity If being able to stream music from a Bluetooth-enabled device like a smartphone or laptop is important to you, the Evoke D4 with Bluetooth is a good option. Otherwise you should go for the regular Evoke D4, which costs less. We’d suggest upping your budget if that is the case, or if you don’t absolutely need a one-box solution, trump both with an all-in-one system such as Denon’s Award-winning D-M40DAB. The Evoke D2 is pretty much the same as the D1, the real difference is in the outer oak or walnut casing. The wooden casing contributes to a better sound overall, and also looks great.
In addition to the standard Evoke D2 with Bluetooth, there are a number of different designs available, often at a higher price. Evoke D2 Mio with Bluetooth have the same features as the maple Evoke D2 with Bluetooth reviewed above, but come in a range of colours (raspberry, almond, aloe, cerulean, charcoal, pewter, scarlet). If matching your radio to your decor is important to you, choosing an Evoke D2 Mio could be a good option.The Evoke C-F6 offers an exceptional amount of choice when it comes to listening to the radio. It has regular FM and DAB as well as DAB+ and internet radio, which allows you to listen to the 20,000+ radio stations that broadcast worldwide over the internet. Having DAB+ and internet radio means the C-F6 is ‘futureproofed’ against any change that might happen to the UK radio network. The Pure Evoke C-F6 might seem expensive, but given that it’s an all-in-one system with a great combination of features it offers, it seems to offer very good value for money. The radio looks beautiful and offers plenty of features with excellent all-round performance. The standard Evoke D4 with Bluetooth radio comes in maple casing, but you can choose from a range of colours in the Evoke D4 Mio with Bluetooth range. The colours on offer are the same as those in the Evoke D2 with Bluetooth range (raspberry, almond, aloe, cerulean, charcoal, pewter, scarlet).
