this book hurt to read because of georgia’s narration. it was sad seeing that she truly believes these people and thinks that she’s climbing up in the world, when she’s really just being taken advantage of. i’m not sure how i feel about the ending - i sort of expected it, but i feel like it could have been expanded upon a little bit more. The entire plot is driven by my last favorite trope: everyone is super secretive about a super simple piece of information that they have no reason NOT to tell the MC besides *drama.* Like.... no spoilers, but the things Georgia's family knew about Aspera should have been explicitly told to her well before the book even started.
